My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1318

Rosa shouted to the nearby security guard, "She sneaked in here! Capture her!"

Skylar paused in her tracks. Upon hearing Rosa's words, she turned to look at her. Then, she stood her ground, waiting for the security guard to approach her.

Rosa quirked a brow as she observed Skylar's unflinching composure. Was she really banking on Joe coming to her rescue? Rosa couldn't fathom why Skylar looked so confident.

Just then, Joe's voice rang out from above, deep and stern. "Since when did you become so despicable?"

Rosa's face paled. "I-I'm just speaking the truth, Ned. Skylar must have sneaked in here. I saw her, and I couldn't pretend I didn't."

Joe approached swiftly, his long strides eating up the distance between them. By the time the security guard reached Skylar, Joe was already at her side. "She was invited."

Skylar glanced up at Joe, her eyes shining with a mixture of surprise and relief. He was standing up for her. Rosa, meanwhile, arrived breathlessly, her heels clicking in desperation, only to hear Joe's words. Humiliation washed over her.

The crowd began to murmur. Rosa had just loudly accused Skylar, yet Joe contradicted her so openly. Rosa's face flushed with mortification as curious onlookers gathered, intrigued by the spectacle. This was, after all, a prestigious event-Nicole's birthday celebration.

If someone had sneaked in uninvited, it could lead to significant trouble. One of the security guards turned to Skylar and said, "Please show us your invitation."Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

Rosa fixed her gaze on Skylar, certain that she couldn't produce one. After all, Rosa knew she had only come here to find Joe.

Just as whispers rippled through the

crowd, wondering who Skylar was Lionel appeared. Familiar with the security guard, he took in the scene with a sharp glance.

"What's going on here?" Lionel demanded, his voice carrying authority.

"Sir, this lady is accused of sneaking into the party without an invitation," the security guard reported dutifully.

Lionel's expression darkened. "Ms. Sullivan is a distinguished guest of Mrs. Neal Senior. I personally delivered her invitation. You owe her an apology."

With Lionel's words, everyone's expressions shifted. They instinctively turned their attention to Rosa.

Rosa's face drained of color. She stammered, "I thought she wasn't invited. I must have been mistaken."

indifferent-even toward his own fiancee-was openly protective of Skylar. Curiosity flickered in their eyes as they speculated about her identity.

As the commotion continued, a few acquaintances who had previously invited Skylar to their homes for her expertise in ridding their homes of negative items and evaluating and restoring antiques recognized her. Their faces lit up as they approached, eager to greet her.
