A Girl Adopted

Chapter 32- Asher

Chapter 32- Asher

I parked my bike outside my house. I took her hand in mine and we went inside the house. Dad was

sitting in the living room. He gave us a warm smile and called for mom. Amara pinched my bicep and I

turned my head to look at her. I gave her a goofy smile but inside I am hoping she doesn’t get offended

by what is going to happen next. She looked at me with 'what the hell is going on over here' look.

"My parents wanted to meet you so I brought you here to meet them." She replied with a glare. I shifted

back a little from her. This girl can be scary if she wants to. "Please don't kill me." I whispered scared

about the events that are going to unfold now.

"A prior warning would have been nice." She hissed.

I shrugged and turned towards my parents. I am having a really bad feeling about this.

"Why are you two standing there? Come on in. Have a seat." Mom said giving us a warm smile.

"Finally he brought you here. We were so excited to meet you." Dad said to her.

"Nice to meet you too Mr. Wilson." She said nervously.

"Just call me Arthur. This is my wife Christine." He said smiling.

She nodded at them. I squeezed her hand but she yanked it back and rested both her hands on her

knees. Everything went downhill from there.

"Amara, you are Robert Cross's daughter right?" Dad asked. She looked annoyed.

"No. I am Alpha Hercules's daughter." She answered sharply. Oh no.

"You are from another pack?" Dad asked confused.

"No sir. I am from this pack only." She replied smiling.

"I don't understand. I have never heard of him. I didn't even knew there was any other alpha in the

town. How can there be two alphas for the same pack.”

"It's a long story."

"Okay. Does your father know about Ash being your mate?" he asked. Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

"Yeah. They have met each other." She said. I shuddered remembering when I met him.

"I would really like to meet him someday.” No dad you don’t.

"I would you rather not. The pack didn't take it very well." She warned. Yeah dad listen to her.

"Oh."

"Dad can we talk about something else?" I said trying to change the topic from her father. That is one

scary wolf.

"I am really sorry for making you uncomfortable. Tell me about yourself." Dad said to her laughing.

"I lived in Esterden till now with my uncle, aunt and brother. I moved here few weeks ago. I am in 11th

grade and go to Greycoast high.”

"What about your parents?" he asked. Stop it dad.

"I am an orphan. I lived with my uncle and aunt until I moved here to Greycoast. Papa, I mean Alpha

Hercules adopted me when I was ten. Now I live with him and my older brother Ryder." She said

smiling.

"Isn't Robert your father?" he asked confused.

"Biologically yes" She squirmed uncomfortably, "It's quite complicated."

"Okay." He gave up.

"Let the poor girl breath Arthur. You are scaring her.", Mom said. Thanks mom.

"I am really sorry Amara. I just wanted to get to know you better. You are going to be part of the family

soon." He said embarrassed.

"It's okay Arthur. I can understand." She replied uncomfortably.

Here comes the bigger issue. Help me god. She picked the glass of juice and took a huge gulp.

"So when are you guys getting engaged?" Mom asked out of nowhere.

She choked on the juice and started coughing. I patted her back. It’s finally started. This is going

exactly the way I feared it would.

"Are you alright?" Mom asked her.

"Yeah. The juice went in the wrong way." She said clearing her throat.

"Okay. So when are you two getting engaged?" Mom asked her again. I want the ground to open up

swallow me whole.

"I am not sure about that. I mean we are not even eighteen yet. Maybe in few years." She is angry. I

can sense it.

"Didn't Asher tell you about the pack laws? You get engaged to your mate the week you meet them and

get married when you turn eighteen." Dad added.

"I don't think that can be possible Arthur. I am still in school. I want to go to the college after that. I want

to focus on my career first. Marriage or engagement is not on my list right now. We literally met two

days ago. I don't even know him properly to think about all this. Maybe I can think about it when I

graduate but now it is impossible." She said seriously.

Dad didn’t like it. They fought back and forth. I was really dreading this moment. I just got back with her

and my parents have to come and destroy it all. In the end she got up and stormed out of the door.

Why? I just sat there in shock. I want to go after her but that would be disrespectful to my parents. But

if I don’t go, she will go further away from me. I heard a car speed out. She left.

“Leo was right to order you to stay away from her.” My head snapped towards dad when he said this.

“No respect for the elders. No respect for rules. How can we welcome such a girl to our family and

pack? We are better off without her.” Dad spat.

“How could you say something like this when you don’t even know her properly?” I asked in disbelief.

“Every single one of you keeps shutting her away. Why? Just because she is different. Because she

can stand up for herself. This is enough. I hurt her enough because of you people. She is my mate and

I love her. I am not giving her up just because she won’t bow to your stupid rules. I always followed

every rule you asked me to follow. Still you were never satisfied with me. I give up on pleasing you

people. I am going to look for her and apologize to her for all the mess you created. I finally found

someone who appreciates me for who I am and I am not going to hurt her because of you. You can

kick me out if you like.”

I stormed out of the door to find my mate and I will find her. I promised not to hurt her but I did it again. I

will make it right baby. I promise.
