Chapter 7 Nincompoop in Tin Foil

Chapter 7 Nincompoop in Tin Foil

October 11th

“Oh, sweetheart. You thought you could run?" He snarled.

I just lay still, staring to the side at the trunks of the trees, "Can you get the fuck off me please?" I

asked.

He grabbed my chin and yanked my face back to look at him.

"Watch your mouth," He said still in a deep tone.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck,-" I began purely to get on his nerves.

I was interrupted by his hand snapping to my neck. He held a firm grip - not suffocating but clearly a

move of dominance.

"Are you trying to provoke me?" He snarled in my ear. "Because trust me, darling, you do not want to

fucking see me at my worst."

"How come you're allowed to curse and I'm not?!"

"Because I'm the Alpha," he replied. "Now tell me where Luca is," he ordered, looking deep into my

eyes as his hand remained around my throat.

"Um...well he...um," I stuttered reaching my hands up to his that was still around my neck in an attempt

to prise his fingers off.

"Spit it out, woman," he hissed, only gripping tighter.

"He's escorting my brother to the edge of the pack territory," I blurted.

Damn it, Ella. You weren't supposed to tell him that. You're such a blurty blurter.

"Your brother?" Leo asked the evil smirk creeping back onto his face. "He should probably watch who's

land his stepping on or he might find himself in a bit of a dangerous situation."

He released my throat but his weight was still beginning to crush my legs.

I winced and his eyes flickered down, "What?"

"You're hurting me," I groaned.

At first, he seemed to ignore me, slowly bringing his lips to my ear and snarling, "This is your one

chance. Next time you decide to run away from me, I will mark you whether you want it or not. Then

you will truly belong to me."

He then got up off the ground, pulling me with him before grabbing my wrist.

"I don't like you speaking about me like I'm an object," I snarked.

"Belong to me, belong to me, belong to me, belong to me," he mocked.

At that point, Leo's phone began to ring.

"It's Luca," he said letting go of me to answer it, "Stay."

I folded my arms as he brought the phone to his ear.

"Ah Luca, just the man I wanted to talk to. Please, could you explain why I just found my mate running

through the forest alone?" Leo growled after Luca finally picked up.

As Leo spoke to Luca, I looked around me at the empty forest. Without even a thought I then randomly

turned on my heel and began to sprint, like I was acting on pure instinct.

I got one metre, two if you want to be generous, before Leo's arm projected in front of me, catching me

by the waist and lifting me up into the air.

"What a feeble attempt. You really are desperate," He said.

"It was worth a try," I mumbled, as Leo carried me, still on the phone to Luca. Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

With his forearm pressing firmly against my stomach I was incredibly uncomfortable and began to

squirm. I had no idea how he was managing to hold me with only one arm but he was soon done

talking to Luca at which point he through me over his shoulder.

It was far more comfortable up there and I just let him carry me.

"Just to let you know: I have a cage in my cellar, and some handcuffs, and some rope," He said in a

husky low grumble, "If this is going to become a habit, there are things I can and will do."

"Are you threatening me?" I asked,

"If it will stop you hopelessly trying to escape, then yes I guess I am threatening you. I knew I should

have marked you the moment I saved you in the woods."

"I'm sorry saved me?" I asked confused. "Last time I checked, you kidnapped me."

"You can't hang around my border for long before you stumble across some danger. And what do you

think my men would have done if it was them to find you on my territory and not me, huh?" He said.

"So you saved me from your own men. What do you want? A gold star?" I questioned.

"That's no way to thank your knight in shining armour," He said.

"More like nincompoop in tin foil," I said with a smirk that unfortunately, he couldn't see.

"Don't push it, I really do have a cage in my cellar," he growled.
