Being Proposed to By a Blind CEO

Persuading Gifer

The kiss between Gifer and Belvina broke, both of them pressed their foreheads together and smiled. Even though he couldn’t see, but Gifer could still feel how the thin lips began to break free from the thick lips.

“I love you, Belvina. I don’t care anymore about Raya who is only my ex-lover. Whereas my lover now is you,” Belvina smiled, moving her forehead away from Gifer. Then she held both of her lover’s cheeks.

“I love you too, Gifer. It doesn’t matter, really. I understand that,” Gifer held both hands that were still attached to his cheeks. He stroked them up to Belvina’s lips, back up to her cheeks, stroking them slowly. Then he continued to stroke up to her eyes and forehead.

“Thank you, dear. If I could see, I would definitely see how beautiful your face is. I’m curious about every expression you give when you’re with me,” Gifer folded his lips.

He had just said something that was impossible in this world. He could no longer see. There was a girl who loved him sincerely and he should have been grateful. But he wanted more, wished he could see again even though it was an impossible thing. Actually, it was not impossible, because Gifer also had money, but the problem was the very scarce stock of eye donors provided by hospitals from various cities. That was what he thought was impossible.

“Calm down, dear. One day you will be able to see again, I’m sure of it,” Gifer smiled wryly at his lover’s words. Because it sounded like a sad thing to say.

“Don’t pout like that already. Have faith, dear, believe in God’s miracle. Maybe now you are being tested for not being able to see, pray, who knows in the future you can see again. God will never give a test to humans who cannot undergo it. You were given a test like this because God believes that you can get through it, even though the process is not easy. Be patient, then God will give the best for you, hm? Never mind, don’t be sad. I want these lips to emit a smile that people will always love,” Belvina’s hand rubbed Gifer’s cheek and touched the full lips that were now starting to obey what she said.

“Yes dear, I will try to believe in God again and go through this trial well. Thank you, you are indeed my encouragement and motivation to keep fighting for life, Vina,” Belvina who heard that also smiled.

“Yes, I will always be the moonlight when the clouds in the black night feel lonely. She said to herself, then tried to change the subject.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

“You’re welcome, I’m happy if there are people who want to be told and try to turn bad things into good things. Alright, let’s go, I’m hungry, hehe,” Belvina said.

“Wow, my girlfriend is already hungry?” Gifer deliberately emphasized the word ‘girlfriend’ because his heart was feeling happy.

“Yes, I haven’t had breakfast yet, you know!” Belvina answered trying to tell Gifer.

“Let’s find a restaurant,”

“We’ve been in front of the restaurant, Gifer dear,”

“Really? Then we…” Gifer immediately covered his mouth with the palm of his right hand to hold his embarrassment. But it was even printed on his two red cheeks.

“Hahahaha, yes, dear. Didn’t realize?”

“Yes, yes, I can’t see, how are you, huh!”

“Hehe, yeah sorry,”

“Let’s go, I’m hungry too,”

“Come on!”

They began to enter the restaurant to fill their stomachs that had been struggling to be filled.

Elsewhere, Raya and Indra were eating at a restaurant. Raya still hadn’t eaten her breakfast. Her mood suddenly dropped because all she did was stir her food without any interest in putting it in her mouth. Instead, she thought of Jimin who dared to kiss in public like earlier.

‘What the hell is that Gifer? How could he kiss in public? While dating me he never asked me to kiss at all, let alone a sudden kiss like earlier, annoying!’ She said to herself while wearing an annoyed expression. Seeing something strange with her lover made Indra want to ask Raya about it.

“Honey, what’s wrong with you? I’ve been watching you not eating the food, see, how many times are you just going to stir the porridge? Even the spices in the porridge have been mixed up and it looks like vomit,” Raya was immediately surprised and looked at her lover.

“Ah, yes. I had forgotten. It’s okay, it’s just that I’m in a bad mood today,” Raya assured her lover so he wouldn’t be suspicious of what she was thinking. She also tried to spoon her food into her mouth.

“After passing by Gifer kissing a girl?” guessed Indra. Obviously, the man was not stupid. He knew that Raya was thinking about Gifer who was kissing in public with a girl. Regardless of whether it was his girlfriend or not.

“Uhuk, uhuk, uhuk!” Raya coughed when her lover mentioned Gifer’s name.

“How did you know?”

“It’s obvious from the change in your attitude earlier.”

“Y-y-yes, I was a little shocked to see it. But now I’m not. I just don’t like seeing him kissing on the street. After all, it’s a public street, a lot of people pass by there. We’ve never kissed in a public place like that, so why does he even seem to deliberately indulge in intimacy? It’s like people never kiss,”

“Oh, so you want us to make out like Gifer did?” At once Raya became embarrassed, while smiling she nodded.

“No, not here either. This is a restaurant, we might get kicked out.”

“Hhahahaha, alright dear.”

Gifer was walking to take Belvina back to the apartment. On the way, the link of their hands was never broken. Belvina also tried to persuade Gifer to return to Mr. Kevin’s company to become the CEO. Belvina painstakingly tried to string sentences so that Gifer would not be suspicious or offended by what she was about to say.

“Dear Gifer,”

“Yes, what is it, my dear?”

“Why don’t you want to be the CEO anymore?”

“Didn’t I already explain my reasons at that time, dear?” Gifer asked back.

“Yes, I did. But if you want to try again just once, I’m sure you will definitely work according to your hobby,” Belvina answered casually.

“How can I work according to my hobby if I can’t even see, Vina dear,”

“You can, dear. I’m sure of it.”

“I can’t type without looking at the laptop screen,” Gifer tried to find another excuse to get her to stop asking him about it.

“But you can read using braille. You can read every invitation and file that will be used for client meetings. Or you can ask the secretary to read them to you. You can also write, right? Even though you can’t type, at least you can write even though you can’t see,” Belvina explained, making Gifer even more suspicious of what his lover meant to ask him to become the CEO of the company he hated all this time. Does his lover not accept his love for what it is? He thought. He then asked Belvina again.

“Wait a minute, why do you seem to force me to become CEO again? You don’t want me to just work as a teacher at the ‘Ability to Read’ foundation?” She asked while stopping her steps.

“That’s not what I meant, dear,”

“Then what?” Belvina just folded her lips, unable to answer the question that her lover had just asked.

“Answer dear, what’s wrong?” Gifer asked again while holding both of Belvina’s narrow shoulders. Inevitably, Belvina had to answer honestly so that there would be no misunderstanding between their relationship.

“Mr. Kevin asked me to persuade you to come back to his company. He met me this morning.” Belvina explained.

‘DUAR!’

As if hit by a boulder, Gifer’s mood became uncertain. Both of them were speechless with different facial expressions. Between worry and surprise that seemed to become one in each of them.
