Chapter 27
His loving hands gently gripped her hands as he lifted her up. “Come in.”
In the dining room, he invited her to join him. Then he gently let go her hand and said, “Come with me for a supper.”
Ava wasn’t hungry. She couldn’t get anything out of her mouth.
She had no idea what he was doing.
This guy behaved like a child at times, yet a demon at others. What he was thinking, planning, and doing next was absolutely beyond her conception.
“Why are you staring at me like that?” Jeorge Milton said, raising his eyebrows and pouring black coffee into a cup.
She lowered her gaze to the table.
“You seem to be afraid of me today?” he asked, his mouth curled up as he looked straight at her.
Why had she never dared to speak to him before?
“Isn’t this what you want?” Ava said, a sad grin on her face. ”
He laughed.
She hated him!
Ava Lins had never looked at him so closely before.
His steady look and small grin tormented her.
Even when anxious, she couldn’t put it.
He laughed at her anxiety and said, “Aunt Marry’s sandwiches are really dull. What do you eat at breakfast? ”
“Nothing!”
Ava sighed.
He smirked “Why are you so thin? Being overly skinny is unhealthy.”
He smiled and handed her the milk .
Then Ava got it, and she scowled fiercely at him, her cheeks flushed.
“I agree to your request, but let me make a promise,” Ava said as she wiped the corner of her lips with a tissue.
He waited with raised brows.
He knew she’d been thinking about these words since she walked in.
“So, what?”
“It’s only on weekends… During this time, I shall not bother you or your companions. Don’t mess with my life. Also, I hope you can visit Tianra. ”
He lighted his cigarette and stared at her.
“And…” Ava began, looking at him “When can I go?”
Hearing this, he grimaced and gazed at her, as if he wanted to know when she would leave him…
His grin twisted “Leaving me?”
“If I don’t, Is it possible to remain with you forever? ”
“Surely.”
He asked, his keen gaze making her nervous.
Ava smirked and added, “I can’t and won’t hope. You should know I have no affection for you.”
After she finished speaking, he put out his cigarette, rose up, and proceeded up the stairs, his back to Ava.
“Then three months,” Jeorge Milton said, pausing on the stairwell for a while before turning to face her.
He should get bored of playing after three months, and he would not spare her!
Goden Bran returned early that night.
He entered the room and found her standing in the kitchen, as if she hadn’t spotted him.
He came over and turned off the heat, frowning when he noticed the pot’s contents were scorched “What’s on your mind?”
Is this risky?
When Ava Lins regained consciousness, she felt betrayed by Goden Bran’s stern gaze.
If he knew she was with Jeorge Milton…
So what?
Then she wondered why they’d divorced.
She smiled, bewildered.
Goden Bran saw something flicker in her eyes, but it swiftly faded, and he yelled out, “Ava!”
Ava didn’t respond and took the prepared porridge out of the kitchen and up the stairs.
He stormed up the stairs, enraged.
Then, seeing her grandmother was already asleep, she went to the closet to get some clothes for a bath.
It was impossible to ignore his coughing in the dead of night.
She went to the restroom, pretending not to hear him.
When she returned, he was coughing.
She drew the blanket over him, but she opened her eyes and turned over to look at her.
Ava suddenly turned around to go, as if she had done something wrong.
But he reached out and grabbed her wrist.
He spoke hoarsely, without arrogance, as if he were a patient “Can you… Get me some medicine? ”
She turned around and was about to leave when she heard him say, “You hate me?”
Ava paused and licked her lips.
“It’s only natural that you detest me, but Ava, I hope that guy isn’t Jeorge Milton,” Goden Bran muttered cruelly in his heart.
Was he saying that as long as it was another man, it was fine?
When Ava heard this, she cried quietly.
“It’s none of your business. I’m your ex. Do you mind it? ”This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
“Plus…”
“Not a chance.”
She went to the bed and tucked herself in.
Goden Bran tilted his head and stared at her, his heart heavy.
Time flew by.
Weekend came and went in a flash.
When she was making breakfast, Jeorge Milton texted her:
Ava didn’t respond, and then came another message: I’m going to pick you up?
When the three of them were eating, her phone rang, and she was shaking , sitting there and not replying for a long time.
Grandma questioned “Ava Lins, Why didn’t you answer the phone? .
Goden Bran looked at her. Ava sucked in her saliva and attempted a grin. “But… It may be the hospital.”
She got up, grabbed her phone, and proceeded to the balcony.
“You helped her share in the matters of Ava’s little sister, I can see that she has lost a lot of weight recently, your own wife doesn’t feel good about it, you should be careful of being kidnapped.”
Hearing Grandma’s words, Goden Bran realized she had dropped a lot of weight.
“I’m not feeling so well today, I…” Ava Lins lied to Jeorge Milton.
“I’ll come see you.”
Did he intend to pay a visit?
“No!”
His tone both friendly and coercive. “If you don’t come, I’ll go find you.”
Ava could only grit her teeth and say, “Got it!”
He then hung up.
She turned around to see Goden Bran behind her. Her stunned reaction was suspicious, as was her guilty reaction.
She straightened her back, tried to be cool, and moved by him to the dining table.
His car waited for her at the roadside.
Ava reluctantly climbed into the car.
