Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 17

Chapter 17

The next day, Manley calculated the time Estelle would come out of the alley after finishing her meal.

He gave a subtle signal to the several bodyguards behind him and softly instructed, “Don’t hold back,

guys! Show some real strength!”

The bodyguards, dressed as local youths, nodded to show they understood and walked deeper into the

alley

Manley leaned against the wall and smoked for about ten minutes, thinking the timing was about right.

He extinguished his cigarette and walked in casually.

There were more college students eating at this time, so his guys took Estelle to a secluded corner.

They were separated by a few walls, so no sound could be heard.

He imagined Estelle disheveled, held down by several men, and at her most desperate moment, he

would appear like a god.

Her eyes would be filled with twinkling stars, looking at him with gratitude and admiration.

In return for saving her life, she would offer herself and be devoted to him completely!

Manley imagined this, and a doof smile spread across his face.

As he got closer, he could hear the sounds of fighting and men groaning.

He was surprised to see an unexpected scene before him. The people being beaten on the ground

were not Estelle, but his bodyguards. Their faces were bruised, and they lay on the ground, clutching

their stomachs and moaning in pain.

Estelle had her hair in a ponytail, wearing a beige hoodie, her right foot stepping on a man’s chest,

looking calm and collected. However, an icy aura surrounded from her, freezing the air around.

The bodyguards on the ground were battered and bruised, suffering from the beatings. Seeing Manley,

they subconsciously begged, “Mr. Scott, save me!”

Manley’s face changed instantly as Estelle’s icy gaze fell on him, filled with lethal intent.

Startled, Manley turned and ran, only to feel a gust of wind behind him as his shoulder was grabbed.

Next, hel was lifted off the ground, spinning 360 degrees, and crashing heavily onto the floor!

“Damn!”

Manley’s eyes bursting with golden stars.

A dazzling sight, just like he imagined.

When Lucille called, the Scott family’s private doctor was treating Manley’s wounds.

Manley’s face turned pale as he swiped his phone and angrily wiped the blood from the corner of his

lips, cursing. “Screw you! If you dare to mention Estelle in front of me ever again, you won’t be able to

hang around in J City anymore!”

With that, Manley threw down his phone.

The private doctor trembled, holding the cotton swab shakily.

Manley was panting heavily, as if his chest was about to explode. He would get his revenge!

He would!

On Saturday morning, Estelle went to the Lamont family’s house.

Jonathan didn’t come home last night, and Henson got caught up playing games and lost track of time.

When Estelle arrived, he hadn’t even gotten up yet.

Norah also got up late and hurriedly greeted Estelle before rushing out

Estelle waited for an hour until Henson appeared in front of her after washing up, having breakfast, and

changing clothes.

However, he followed their previous agreement, not being lazy or procrastinating, and obeyed Estelle’s

instructions.

Because they were one hour late, by the time they finished their classes, it was already noon. A

servant came over and said that the young lady. Norah, had invited Estelle to stay for lunch.

Jonathan wasn’t home, and there was only Henson. Estelle agreed and kept him company for lunch.

To their surprise, just as they sat down, Jonathan came back!

A servant asked if Jonathan had eaten lunch, and efficiently prepared his utensils when they found out

he hadn’t.

Estelle didn’t expect him to come back and stood up, saying, “Since Mr. Lamont is back, why don’t you

have lunch with Henson? I’ll leave now.”

Henson frowned, “You want to leave as soon as Uncle comes back. Are you afraid of him or do you

dislike

him?”

Estelle took a deep breath. Well she did give him a few difficult problems during class. Did he have to

retaliate

like this?

She glared at Henson and when she turned her head, she saw Jonathan looking at her, seemingly

waiting for her response to Henson’s question.

He took off his suit jacket and draped it over his arm, wearing only a light blue shirt with the top two

buttons undone, revealing his delicate collarbone and a glimpse of well-defined muscles.

Estelle averted her gaze and smiled gently. “How could it be? I only have respect for Mr. Lamont.”

Jonathan didn’t seem interested in arguing with her either and said calmly, “You two go ahead and eat.

I’ll go upstairs and change clothes.”

He finished speaking and went upstairs, but Estelle, as a guest, still felt that it would be more polite to

wait for the host to have the meal together. Henson didn’t touch his cutlery either.

As Jonathan’s figure disappeared completely at the staircase, Estelle snorted, “If you don’t want me as

your tutor, just say so. There’s no need to set me up like this.”

Henson looked a bit embarrassed, “Ever heard of children saying thoughtless things?”

Estelle retorted, “Didn’t you ask me not to treat you like a child?”

Henson raised his eyebrows, “You don’t see me as a kid, but does that mean I’m not actually a kid?” Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Estelle refused to argue with a child.

“Well, next time we play a game, I won’t scold you.” Henson offered a peace sign.

Estelle took on a spoiled look, “I’m already quite skilled, thank you!”

Henson said seriously, “Do you have any misconceptions about the word ‘skilled’?”

Estelle remained silent.

While the two of them were bantering, Jonathan came downstairs. He had changed into a casual white

shirt and beige trousers, making his tall, handsome figure even more prominent.

Both Estelle and Henson shut their mouths.

14:45

Jonathan sat in the main seat and picked up his chopsticks. His voice remained light, “Ms. Macclain,

this is your first time eating here, so just help yourself and don’t be too polite.”

Estelle chuckled, “Thank you!”

The kitchen had prepared two types of soups, seafood, and duck. The servants brought both and

asked Estelle

what she would like.

She chose the duck soup, and the servant respectfully placed a bowl of it in front of her.

Jonathan and Henson both picked duck soup as well.

The three ate silently.

Henson took a sip of soup and asked Jonathan, “Uncle, is my sister dating someone?”

“Hmm?” Jonathan was surprised that Henson knew.

Henson raised an eyebrow and snorted, “She’s nowhere to be seen every weekend, and last night I

even saw her talking on the terrace, with a grin that looked like an emoji.”

Estelle kept eating her rice silently. It seemed that Norah was really in love. A couple of days ago,

Estelle saw her and a fair-looking guy sitting together in the school library, whispering and laughing

intimately.

Isis mentioned that the guy is from the foreign language department and his name is Nicolas Hester.

Jonathan’s face remained calm, he said indifferently. “Your sister is an adult. It’s normal for her to be in

a relationship. There’s no need for you to worry. Mind your own business.”

“I don’t need others worrying about me either!” Henson muttered and suddenly looked at Estelle,

“You’re an adult too. Do you have a boyfriend?”

“Cough!”

Estelle choked and quickly grabbed a tissue to cover her mouth. She looked at Henson and said, “No.”

“You should hurry up then, then. If you are in college and still haven’t been in a relationship, people will

say you have no charm,” Henson said with a smug look.

Estelle squinted and smiled, “What you’re really thinking is that if I get into a relationship, I won’t have

time to be your tutor, right?”

Henson shrugged, “I never said that. I’m just concerned about you.”

“Thanks for your concern, then! Even my grandpa isn’t as worried as you!”

While Jonathan listened to their banter, he suddenly remembered something and glanced at Estelle

thoughtfully.
