Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1236

"Lass, you're finally here!"

The moment Corbyn reached Flora, his stern facade melted away, replaced with a beaming smile. Ever since that day, he'd regretted not asking for her name. In a world as vast as the Martial World, he was genuinely worried he might never bump into her again. Thankfully, Flora had taken the initiative to find him today. But she nearly got nabbed by Sydney as a thief! Just thinking about it made Corbyn's expression darken for a moment. But not wanting to scare Flora, he quickly swapped it for a warm, friendly smile. "Boss..." Sydney stammered, almost biting her tongue, "You and Flora, you two..."

Flora had only been in the Martial World for a couple of days, hadn't she? How did she already know Corbyn? And judging by their interaction, they seemed pretty tight.

Carly and Jacob stared with jaws slack enough to catch flies. They were just as bewildered! They'd been in the Martial World for ages and barely exchanged a few words with Corbyn. Yet here was Flora, fresh off the boat, with connections that seemed to outshine theirs. "Flora, lass, show them the emblem."

Ignoring Sydney's blabbering, Corbyn nodded at Flora to present the emblem. He'd pieced together her name from the chatter.

"Okay."

Flora nodded, fished the emblem out of her pocket, and handed it to Corbyn.

"Take a good look, is this your emblem?"

Corbyn held up the emblem, his icy stare fixed on Sydney. This time, Sydney noticed a faint green totem on it...

It was an emblem reserved for Corbyn, the senior members of the Medical Hall, and his direct disciple Tara. Sydney's lips quivered, she was lost for words. She couldn't fathom why Corbyn knew Flora or why he'd entrusted her with such a prized emblem. "Flora, lass, is my lifesaver and a distinguished guest of the Medical Hall. I'd welcome her with open arms, and you had the nerve to turn her away?"NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.

Flora was his lifesaver and a VIP at the Medical Hall! Jacob and Carly's heads spun. They hung out with Flora every day-how did they not know this?

Corbyn's eyes lowered, his aura commanded respect and instilled fear: "Who gave you the right to keep people out of the Medical Hall?"

The Medical Hall served the entire Martial World, open to all walks of life. Sydney was blatantly flouting the rules.

"Boss, I messed up! I really didn't

know you and Flora knew each other! I shouldn't have stopped her from coming in. Please, just this once, forgive me! I won't do it again!"

Sydney dropped to her knees, tears spilling down her cheeks. Anything she said now would sound like an excuse. A sincere apology was her best bet to gain Corbyn's forgiveness.

"Why are you apologizing to me?" Corbyn glared at her. "Is it me you should be apologizing to?"

Sydney got the hint. The thought of apologizing to Flora in front of everyone felt worse than death, But she knew Corbyn's temper well. If she didn't apologize today, it wouldn't end here.

"Flora..." Sydney's nails dug into her palms. "I'm sorry..."

Flora remained unmoved.

"Please forgive me," Sydney forced out, gritting her teeth.

Flora stood her ground, looking down at Sydney with a smile that was almost mocking.

Sydney felt the sting of humiliation and could barely hold back her tears, her voice cracking, "Boss..."

Corbyn didn't spare her a glance.

Humiliated to her core, Sydney felt like she might implode, "I shouldn't have called you a thief. I've apologized, can't you just let it go?"
