Chapter 57 Western Restaurant
Chapter 57 Western Restaurant
Children were easily to be cheated, especially cheated by their mothers. Children were the most easily
to believe what the adult said. No matter whether their mothers were telling the truth or not, as long as
their moms told them, it was true.
Sometimes, what a mother said was a white lie. She didn't want the child's heart to be hurt. Mothers Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
loved their children the most in the world.
Murphy was not stupid. When he heard what Nora said to little Hugh, he knew that Nora was lying to
him. She was a woman with story.
He found that Nora was a pitiful and helpless woman. He became more and more appreciative her, as
if he was obsessed with her. He wanted to enter her inner world.
She was like a wounded hedgehog, and no one was allowed to get close to her. Any man who
approached her would be seriously injured.
No one knew how sentimental she was when she took off her armor and pretended to be a strong
woman.
He tried his best to get close to her, protect her and give her a warm harbor, but every time he tried,
she would refuse him and tried to force him to keep her away for thousands of miles away.
Murphy racked his brains to come up with many ways, but in the end, he couldn't achieve it
successfully.
She didn't know how long could she pretend to be strong, she really felt exhausted no matter her body
or her heart.
She also wanted to find a strong arm to rely on. When she was sad, someone comforted her beside,
handed her a piece of tissue, and when she was sick, someone could pour herself a glass of water.
Even so, the cruelty of reality did not allow her to do so.
However, she didn't know that it was not only her who was upset, but also Murphy.
Little Hugh was playing happily with the little monkeys, and Murphy also took many pictures of him and
the little monkeys. He wanted to develop these into pictures and send them to him for collecting.
Seeing that little Hugh was a little tired, Murphy held him and said, "Let's go somewhere else to have a
look."
Nora walked behind him and looked at him holding little Hugh. They looked like a father and a son, but
it was just a dream.
In the zoo, little Hugh would ask him a lot of questions wherever he went. Sometimes, he couldn't
answer the questions at all, so he could only lie to him kindly for a while.
Children were born with one hundred thousand questions.
She knew how much he appreciated Hugh for his love and patience, but she couldn't think of other
feelings.
Little Hugh raised his voice several times and shouted, "Mommy, look at the panda. I saw it on TV. It is
so cute."
Holding him in his arms, Murphy walked quickly to the panda. The panda was eating bamboos, and the
food was delicious. Little Hugh asked, "Don't them feel pain after eating the hard bamboos?"
Murphy was stopped by the question. He looked at Nora and looked at her for help. Nora understood
and said to little Hugh, "Panda is different from people. There is a machine in its stomach, and the
bamboo it eats is split up."
"Oh, I see." said little Hugh.
Murphy smiled and thought in mind, 'There is a machine in its stomach. What is in Nora's mind?'
"I don't know the answer. Of course I'll make up the random one. When I get home, I'll investigate
online and tell him the correct answer," said Nora with a smile.
Looking at the panda, Hugh was in a daze. He looked so cute when he was in a daze. There was
another panda. It was fat and twisted its waist, sitting next to the two pandas.
Suddenly, little Hugh said, "Mommy, look, little panda is talking with daddy and Mommy."
Hearing what little Hugh said, both Murphy and Nora were amused.
The world of children was so simple.
Murphy held little Hugh in his arms, Nora followed them and chatted while walking. Little Hugh seemed
to think of something and shouted, "Little panda is chatting with dad and mom, just like the three of us
are chatting."
The innocent words of him made Murphy burst into laughter.
Nora lowered her head shyly and followed them.
Holding little Hugh in his arms, he asked, "Baby, are you hungry? I'll take you to eat something
delicious."
Little Hugh said happily, "Okay, okay, let's go to eat something delicious."
The car stopped at a high-end Italian restaurant, in which there were many children. Murphy said, "I
heard that the food here is all children's favorite."
Nora understood that Murphy had specially inquired about it. He was really fond of little Hugh.
She thought to herself, 'I promised to invite him before. But he brings us to such a luxurious restaurant.
I haven't come here for once because I'm not rich and the consumption is high.'
There were many things that Hugh had never seen before. They were not chopsticks, but forks and
spoons. However, looking at the way he ate, they felt that the dishes were very fit his taste.
Sometimes, the way he ate was exactly the same as that of Murphy, but then this idea flashed through
her mind.
"Such a young child shouldn't have taken him to such a luxurious place. It's easy to swell his vanity,"
said Nora, looking at Murphy.
"You're overthinking. Kids know nothing about vanity. Besides, it is ok for him to come here once. We
don't come here often. Don't worry about it."
Hearing that, Nora was speechless. She looked at Murphy and said nothing.
Murphy teased, "Are you afraid that you won't be able to afford me a meal?"
"Of course not. I can afford to treat you a meal," said Nora, pouting her mouth.
"Then I can really stand. Let's have a good meal today."
Then, he called a waiter and added a few more dishes. They were all western style. They looked
beautiful, but not practical.
Both of them were eating with their heads down. Looking at them, Murphy smiled unconsciously.
Seeing that little Hugh was full, Nora said, "Bring me the bill please."
The waiter handed the bill to her, and it read, "700 dollars", which scared her. She was scared by such
an expensive food.
"Pay by the card. We are VIP members here."
This time, she was really stunned. He was really wasting of money. Nora was speechless.
