Hello, CEO! Don’t Play With Me!

[8]

Andrew smiled slightly. He stepped over to the beautiful girl who was the center of his attention right now. She was sitting alone enjoying her wine, looking up at the sky from the large window on the second floor. Perhaps she was deliberately avoiding the crowd because she must have been exhausted from dealing with so many people.

“Am I interrupting?” asked Andrew with a wide grin. Especially when Giselle turned to him and stared at his presence with an intense look. There was no way Giselle wouldn’t recognize him especially since Andrew wasn’t just a regular visitor at the club.

“No, sir,” Giselle said with a smile.

The girl’s eyes no longer gazed intently, but tried for once to act normal even though Andrew was sure that her presence here had taken him by surprise.

“Congratulations on being chosen as The Bungos’ brand ambassador. You know, it’s hard to earn Helena’s trust.”

“You know him?” asked Giselle trying to be as calm as possible. Don’t ask her how her heart was doing, because from the moment she noticed the man near her, she was completely taken aback. Andrew, who Justin had warned her about, was a frequent visitor to a place Giselle didn’t want to remember. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

How can Giselle forget the guests who are quite loyal every time she performs? It can’t be that easy, right? On the one hand, she needs the money. On the other hand, she feels disgusted and dirty for using the money to support her dying family.

If it wasn’t Andrew the guest, perhaps Giselle could still behave normally. She would have just talked as much as she needed to without worrying too much. But the situation she faced was not as simple as she thought.

“Of course. Who doesn’t know Helena?” Andrew laughed. He gently shook the glass he had been carrying. In one gulp, the liquid contents of the glass disappeared down his throat. He chuckled softly. “Not bad. The host knows how to entertain guests well.”

Giselle responded with a smile. Don’t let her misspeak and end up in silence. She realized what would happen if her past was revealed. Not only would she be devastated, but Justin would be too. And she didn’t want that to happen. Before she was truly at the top and could influence many people to secure her position, Giselle had to be careful where she stepped.

“Is something bothering you?” asked Andrew in a very casual tone.

“Nothing.” Giselle took a small sip of her wine. “It’s nice to see you here, sir. I think I should return to the banquet. My solitary time is over.”

Andrew smiled slightly. “Are you sure?”

Giselle looked at Andrew with a frown between her brows. “Why am I not sure? I’m fine.”

“There’s no way you’re forgetting me, right, Nami?”

The girl froze. Her grip on the glass, which still had some wine left in it, tightened. Her body could not react much because the name had already been said. Even Andrew, who knew her very well even though Giselle had been wearing a mask during her time at the club. No, she didn’t. It must have been Jilly who said who she was.

Her other hand clenched into a tight fist at the thought. There was no way Andrew would recognize her that easily in a place like this unless someone leaked her identity. And the only person who could do such a rubbish thing was Jilly Adams.

“You’ll regret it, Nami.” Jilly growled in annoyance. “I didn’t ask for much. It’s only a fraction of what you earn now, right? Don’t ever forget the favors I used to give you, Nami!”

Before Giselle left Jilly at the steakhouse that night, she smiled very slightly. Giving her beautiful hair a gentle shake, she said, “I know how much Justin has spent on you. Not to mention your requests that I thought were ridiculous but Justin fulfilled. And don’t you ever forget, this is the third time you’ve come to me just to fulfill your wishes. If I file an extortion report, you could be charged with multiple counts, Jilly.”

Jilly’s face was bright red. Her jaw tightened with an unaccepting look directed at Giselle who had already stood up from her chair. Preparing to leave her who was already angry at the rejection of her request for money.

“Don’t let my boss know what you did to me. Like right now for example. Even though you seem nice and don’t want to linger on the matter, but I think the anger of someone who is quite economical in talking to strangers, can’t it be very scary?”

Is this what Jilly did in retaliation for her recent rejection? Damn it! What a dirty way to go about it. But considering he’s related to Jilly, isn’t there never a sacred path?

“Looking at your expression now, I’m sure you’ve remembered you.” Andrew chuckled. He put his hands in his pockets and began to step closer. At the girl who seemed to be wide-eyed as that step further eroded the distance between them.

The evening breeze that accompanied their closeness was lulling. Until Andrew felt that the girl could no longer move – he had cornered Giselle on this side of the open window but on the outside. During his time as a guest at the girl’s frequent performances that had captivated him, Andrew could only be content to stare at her beautiful masked face. Growling in annoyance that he wasn’t the only one enjoying the seductively beautiful curvy body on stage.

He wanted to be angry but he didn’t have the right. He wanted to drag the girl away and lock her up for himself but there was no way. Moreover, he was still at the pioneering point, not an heir like most of his competitors in the business world. Don’t let it all fall apart because of her rash actions.

“Enough,” Giselle said in a firm tone. Using her free hand, she restrained Andrew’s movements as he continued to push her. “Please… keep your limits.”

Andrew’s smile was obvious. He wanted to laugh at what he had just said but seeing Giselle’s look of annoyance and irritation, Andrew decided to stop. “I haven’t forgotten your closeness with many men there.”

Giselle’s eyes were firmly closed. “What do you want, sir?”

Andrew wet his lips. He supported Giselle with one arm, tilting his face to stare at the girl who still ruled his heart. No. It was no longer possession, but it was enough to make him lose his sanity.

“Nothing,” she said simply. “I just want us to have better communication than before.”

Although the distance between them was already so thin, Giselle couldn’t just let go. There were many thoughts that plagued her about Andrew’s intentions for her. “What kind of communication do you want?”

Again, Andrew’s faint smile appeared. His eyes, which were as dark as the night, intended to drown Giselle even deeper. But Giselle seemed to know how to withstand the temptation of a man like Andrew. Ah… wasn’t this girl trained to be able to continue standing with a seductive face among many men who approached? Giselle’s magenta-colored fingers usually traced the faces of the visitors one by one.

And the touching ended with the money tucked into the clothes Giselle was wearing. I don’t know how much but it’s definitely not a small amount.

“Um… maybe ask how each other are doing?” Andrew brought his face closer. Intentionally. Without needing to touch Giselle, using his warm breath he gave one puff right on Giselle’s ear lobe. “If you agree, I have a good offer for you.”

Doesn’t Andrew know that Giselle is really nervous and scared? Not because she’s afraid of her body being touched without permission by the man near her, but about what she’s trying so hard to cover up.

“Come back.” Andrew smiled broadly as he patted Giselle’s shoulder lightly. The distance between them widened again. That of course made Giselle sigh in relief and it was funny to see the girl’s face turn bright red. Certainly not because of blushing but there was annoyance and anger being held back. And Andrew understood this very fortunate situation.

When else could he be close to Giselle?

“You must have your manager waiting for you?”

Andrew’s question made Giselle look up and give him a pointed look.

“Hey-hey,” Andrew laughed. “Don’t put on such a scary face although I admit, it’s very tempting.”

Giselle’s hands were clenched again. The tip of her tongue was eager to curse a lot. But the voice of someone calling out to her, made her undo her recent intentions.

“Giselle!”

Thank God! Brina could at least get her out of this annoying encounter! Giselle put on a big smile and waved excitedly. Which was immediately met with a confused frown from Brina.

“Where have you been? Justin was worried about you.” Brina approached and seemed to understand the situation Giselle was in. “Next time, you should be with me. Don’t let there be any unpleasant events for you to remember.”

Giselle chuckled. “Let’s go.” She took Brina’s hand immediately. “Excuse us, sir.”

“If you change your mind, I’ll be waiting for you at the office. My offer is very attractive.”

Giselle would never listen to those words. What for? There was no point. She’d better get out of this place. Or at least, she wouldn’t want to stay away from Justin no matter what. It’s not impossible that something like this won’t happen to her again in the future, right?
