Chapter 925 Contracts Suspended
Chapter 925 Contracts Suspended
It was Monday and Brian knew that the Bennet Group and WY had a meeting. Although it had been
handed over to Albert and Jack to take care of it, today was a bit important, and since Gloria hadn't had
been in the Bennet Group for a long time, he would not meet her.
On multiple fronts, Brian attended this meeting.
The meeting had only just begun when Gloria arrived in a hurry.
"Sorry I'm late, guys, sorry."
Gloria was embarrassed, and in her haste to apologize she didn't even see Brian present.
It was only after she walked quickly to her seat that she saw Brian's presence.
She was surprised. All along the way, she was thinking of ways she could get to Brian's office to meet
him, but she didn't expect that fate had it all worked out for her, and Brian was right in front of her.
Brian frowned from the moment Gloria came in, and if the meeting hadn't already started, and if the
decision today hadn't been more important, Brian would have gotten up and walked away.
The meeting went on normally, but Gloria's mind was completely on Brian, and she didn't even know
what the meeting was about.
It wasn't until the motion passed, the meeting ended, and Brian got up to leave that Gloria came back
to her senses.
"Mr. Bennet, wait."
Gloria stepped on a pair of fifteen centimeters of high heels and came to Brian's side. The most
important thing was that she even pretended to stand unsteadily and fell right towards Brian.
Brian didn't panic but took two steps back, and it was Albert who caught Gloria.
"Miss Lee, watch out."
Albert reminded sarcastically, not that he had long seen Gloria's ploy, but he was always on guard and
careful in order to help Brian catch Gloria.
"What are you talking about? Nothing would have happened if you hadn't gotten tossed by a chair."
Gloria squinted at Albert with dissatisfaction, if she didn't defend, Brian wouldn't know that she was
deliberate.
"Miss Lee, you have no need to cover it up, not everyone is nearsighted."
This statement from Albert was sort of a straightforward, and with then, Albert added another sentence.
"Miss Lee, please turn in your list in advance for the next meeting. If you are late again, either the
meeting will be cancelled or you will withdraw from the meeting. This is our rule, please comply."
Albert finished using himself to separate Brian and Gloria.
"Albert, you're sick? How did I offend you, why are you talking sarcastically?"
Gloria couldn't afford Albert's revelations and warnings, especially in front of Brian.
"There is no problem between you and me, you are overthinking it. I have just said that it is our
company's rules and regulations, please make sure you follow them. We will not allow anyone to attend
the meeting if they do not comply."
Albert finished answering the question, and then followed after Brian.
"You ...... are sick and mentally ill."
Gloria didn't know how to refute the company's system and could only take it all out on Albert
personally.
She felt like Albert was just targeting her, Brian hadn't said anything, only him talking nonsense, which
blocked her chances of talking to Brian.
It couldn't be like this, she hadn't communicated with Brian for a long time.
Gloria was still looking for an opportunity, luckily there was a contract to be signed at today's meeting,
and after discussing with the company's representative, Gloria decided that she would take the contract
book to Brian and sign it, and of course bring a team with her, otherwise she wouldn't know anything
about it.
Soon the group arrived at Brian's office, but Albert was there.
How could she find a chance with Brian alone?
"Does your company need so many people to sign a contract?"
Albert opened his mouth.
"Oh ...... we are responsible for proofing the contract and Manager Lee is responsible for signing it"
An assistant said awkwardly, they worked in WY and must not dare to offend Gloria.
"One contract only needs one lawyer to sign the contract, why come so many people?"
Albert didn't mean to make things difficult, nor did he want to kick them out, just to taunt them and let
Gloria know how unpopular she was.
"I'm the executive who signs the contract, and I'll be finalizing the contract today."
Gloria manifested her presence and certainly understood what Albert meant.
"There are appointments ......"
"Albert."
Brian's majestic voice called Albert to a halt.
Hearing that, Gloria was surprisingly pleased, thinking that Brian was welcoming her.
Just at this moment, Jack knocked on the door and entered.
He walked over to Albert first, and then showed Albert the cell phone.
"Will such a big impact will cause problems for our cooperation?"
Only then did Albert look closely at his phone, the front page headline was shocking.
Albert didn't say anything after reading it, and walked over to Brian's desk with his phone and showed it
to Brian.
Brian frowned at it, indeed worried about the repercussions.
"Hold off on this contract, until things are taken care of, make sure there are no repercussions,
otherwise it's cancelled."
Brian didn't need to think much and gave the order directly.
Brian's words shocked everyone in WY, they didn't understand what had happened and why Brian
would say something like that after looking at his phone.
Just as they were all baffled, Albert placed the phone in front of them.
A few people came together to look at the phone and after looking at it, they all looked at each other
and didn't know what to do.
"Is anything important, why do you guys look like that?"
Gloria asked as she picked up the phone and looked at it. By one glance, she tossed the phone aside
like she was holding a hot potato.
"Which platform is this coming from, I will sue them. They are making false accusations."
Gloria panicked and defended herself, thinking that in this way others would believe her. How could she
have thought that something that was well concealed could be found out?
The phone showed videos and photos of exactly what she was doing in and out of foreign hospitals
when she had the abortion. There were even detailed records of her hospital visits. Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
"It's your right to sue whoever you want, please come back and sign the contract after you make sure it
has no effect on the company's cooperation."
Albert's words were clearly a send-off.
"Brian, none of this is true, I'll get to the bottom of it and I'm sure it won't affect the contract."
Gloria explained in a heartbeat, the contract wasn't the most important thing to her now, what was
important was that Brian didn't believe these things.
"There's no need to explain to us, this is your own personal matter. What we want to talk about is a
business matter, or please make sure you do as Mr. Bennet wants."
Brian didn't even bother to talk to Gloria, so it was still Albert who responded to Gloria.
"Okay, I'll make sure that I get justice for myself."
Gloria turned around and left after glaring at Albert in anger, she felt that she had endured a great
humiliation today, most importantly in front of Brian.
If such a thing was known by Brian, then all her previous homework had been done in vain. Wasn't it
futile to go through all that trouble to erase everything like that?
She must know who had leaked this, who had invaded her privacy, and must make sure this meddler
paid.
After WY's people left, only three people were left in the office, Brian, Jack and Albert.
"Mr. Bennet, this is a personal act of Gloria, it won't affect the cooperation, right?"
Jack asked uncertainly, the reason he said that was because he was worried that it would affect the
cooperation between the two families.
"If you say there's an impact, there's an impact, if you say there's no impact, there's no impact."
Brian gave such a lofty reply, leaving Jack unsure.
"What do you mean?"
"It means that although Gloria is acting personally, it will affect WY's reputation to the extent that it will
affect the turmoil of their stock. The fact that they are in partnership with us will naturally implicate our
stock market."
The one who gave the explanation was Albert, who always knew what Brian was thinking.
"If it affects our stock market, what do you say?"
Having understood of it, Jack continued to ask.
Of course it was still Albert who answered.
"That little bit of stock market turmoil doesn't matter to us."
"Again, I don't understand why Mr. Bennet refused to sign the contract."
He was trying to figure it out, but Jack found that his brain was not working, and the more he asked, the
more confused he became.
"For Gloria to never be involved in this, and for this opportunity to keep Gloria out of the Bennet Group
forever."
Albert explained perfectly, and he understood Brian's meaning very thoroughly.
"Oh, good to be straightforward. Making it so complicated is making me dizzy."
Jack didn't think it was necessary, but Brian saw nothing wrong with it.
"You think too simply, some things said directly are not only embarrassing but can be resented and
invite unnecessary hatred. Take a turn and take another opportunity to do this, then the consequences
would be very different."
"Use your head in whatever you do, not everything can be solved straight away, finding the right
opportunity in solving it will be half the battle."
This time it was Brian himself who explained it. As soon as there was an opportunity like this, he
wanted Jack to learn a lesson.
"Got it, I really learned something."
Jack was convinced after listening to Brian's explanation, he hadn't felt much progress in his work in
recent times, but he had learned a lot from Brian, especially from the calligraphy teacher that Brian had
found, and in all aspects.
"Back to the point, I still need to see you about your job."
Brian instantly got serious, causing Jack's scalp to tingle. What he feared the most was Brian
mentioning work, because he had no confidence in his heart.
"I've read the business case you sent this morning, and it's certainly an improvement over the previous
one, but today you made a mistake by having two typos in your business case, and you're telling me
you're serious?"
The last sound of Brian's voice was anger.
"It's just two typos, it won't be a problem."
Jack spoke timidly, his trembling heart trying to brace itself even though he knew that admitting his
mistake was the best option at this time.
"There won't be a problem? You are irresponsible. Do you know that writing is profound, and do you
know that several different pronunciations of a word represent different meanings, not to mention
mispronunciations?"
"A single punctuation mark in a business case can change the entire direction of the case, what do you
think a typo can change?"
