Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Amelia's POV
I groaned as I woke up with an headache. I don't understand why I have such a headache. That's when
I remembered from last night.
Me getting back my memories. Xavier tried to kill me. His own mate. How could he do that? I am his
mate.
But the worst part, I still don't see him as a monster. The past week, the person who I know, he was a
different person. The man I always wanted him to be.
I don't know who is the real person. All of this just giving me a headache. I hear a knock and asked the
person come in. It was Angela.
She came in giving me a small smile. I return the smile back. "How are you feeling now?" she asked as
she sat next to me.
"Well I feel like I have been ran over a bulldozer. And don't get me started on the headache." I said as
she chuckled. She gave me some water as I gulped the water.
"Why don't you take a shower and come. We'll talk later." she said as I nodded my head and went to Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
take a shower. I have no idea what Angela is going to ask me.
And am I able to answer them? I had so many thoughts. But I got rid of them and quickly showered and
put on my white shorts, Baby blue tank top and grey hoodie.
My hoodie smelt different. I shrugged it off and went to see Angela sitting in the same place as just
now. She smiled once she saw me.
She stood up as I walked towards her. "You ready to talk about, everything?" she asked to make sure I
was ready.
I pondered on that thought. Am I ready? I don't know really. But I got to do it sooner or later. The faster I
get over it, the faster I can move on.
I nodded my head at her. She smiled at me. "Lets go to Xavier's office. Everyone is waiting there." The
moment she mentioned Xavier's name I tensed.
"Hey its going to be ok. I promise." she said holding my hands. I just nodded my head. "Come on." she
said tugging me. I followed her like a lost puppy.
As we stand outside his office, his scent hits me, making me tense. The very scent that used to bring
me so much happiness, scares me.
With one last deep breathe, I entered following Angela. As I entered, everyone's head turn to me.
Including his.
"Amelia." he whispered sending shivers down my spine that I barely heard it. I looked at everyone,
offering a smile, except him. I tried to avoid eye contact with him.
Truth be told, I was scared. I don't know what am I supposed to expect, hate or love? So the best
option I could come up with is to avoid him.
My mum, dad, Nathan, Noah, Avery and Jason was there along with him. I slowly made way to them as
my mum pulled me into a hug.
"How are you, honeybee." my mum asked making everyone chuckle. "I'm fine mama." I said giving
everyone there an assuring smile. Except for him.
"Why don't we all take a seat and then you can tell us what happen?" Nathan suggested as I nodded
my head. We all took a seat in the couch.
Except for Xavier. He stood rooted to his spot. Everyone was looking at me, waiting for me to explain.
But before I could tell, Nathan started to talk.
"Before you can tell us what happened, let me tell you what we know." Nathan said and I nodded my
head. Its better that way.
"After that day you were kidnapped, we received a link to a live video. When we clicked that, the
witches showed you, how bruised up you were.
We immediately had people tracing you down. We saw everything, Amelia." Nathan said as he was
almost on the verge of breaking.
Angela helped to calm him. After taking a deep breathe, he calmed down. "After the man hit you, you
weren't breathing. We thought you died.
When we finally came to the location, there were ashes. The witches claimed it was you and we had no
other choice than to believe." he said. I got confused.
"What man? I thought it was," I paused hoping they would catch what I said. I saw Xavier body tense
from the corner of my eyes.
"It wasn't Xavier. They had a spell on you, making you see the man as Xavier." Nathan said making my
eyes go wide.
I don't understand. Why would they do that? What kind of sick minded people do that? I was still in
shock. I don't know what to say.
I decided to tell what happened after that. "Xav- I mean the man didn't hit me. The witches cast a spell
making me unconscious.
When I woke up I was beside a riverside with no memories of anything except for my name." I
explained. They nodded their head.
"Wait whose ashes were those then?" Avery asked. I had the same question. We all started thinking
whose ashes those were.
"It was the man's" Xavier spoke. All of us nodded our head, as what he said made sense. We stayed
quiet after that not knowing what to say.
"Well, we should get going. Take care of yourself, princess." My dad said as the both of them stood up.
I nodded my head and hugged the both of them as they left.
Slowly everyone started to leave, after bidding me farewell. Now it was just Xavier and me in the room.
My body was still cautious of him.
I don't know why, but the image got stuck in my head. His face, the face that tried to kill me. I know its
not him, but I still can't get rid of that image.
I was so deep in my thoughts, I didn't realise him taking cautious steps towards me. When I realised
that, my body automatically stiffened.
I don't think he realised that as he continued to take slow steps. Once he was nearer, he crouched next
to me. Slowly he took my hands into his.
I flinched, without intending too. "Hey, its ok. I am not going to hurt you." he promised. I nodded my
head. And slowly retreated my hand back.
I saw the hurt in his eyes when I did this. But I just couldn't take the image out of my head. I wished I
could. But it just keep coming back.
"I am sorry. I just can't get the image out of my head." I said honestly. "What do you mean?" he asked
confused. He still managed to look cute. I got rid of that thought.
"You killing me." I said slowly. His body stiffened when I said this. Before he could say, I spoke. "I know
its not you. But that's the image in my head." I said.
He nodded his head in understanding. "There is nothing for you to be sorry about. Its not your fault. It
was mine. It was all mine." He said abruptly standing up.
"If I didn't behave the way I did, if I just accepted what I felt for you. If I didn't tell those words, you
wouldn't have gone into the woods that day. You wouldn't be kidnapped."
He ran his fingers through his head frustrated. He came and sat next to me and took my hands. "To tell
you the truth, I had feelings for you, little one."
His confession made my eyes wide. "And I was scared of that. I build this wall around my heart not
wanting to let anyone in.
But you were easily breaking those wall, without even realising. And that scared me. After my dad and
my mum left me, I thought eventually everyone will leave me.
And I thought you would too." he said looking at me sadly. I wanted to comfort him. But no words came
out. I just stared at him.
"I know you won't forgive me. But-" "I forgive you." I said abruptly. His mouth was wide opened. "W-
What?" he asked unbelievingly.
"I forgive you long time ago for all of those. I was never angry at you to begin with." I said honestly. And
I meant all of those.
"How? Why?" he asked me still staring at me shocked. I just shrugged my shoulders. We became
silent after that. I stood up to leave when he stopped me.
"I meant all those words, before you got your memories. Every single words."
