Chapter 6 Colbert Seeks Revenge!
"She is Alva." Colbert added.
When Eudora heard the name, her mind went blank for a moment.
She looked at Alva, who also happened to raise her head and look at Eudora.
The two sisters locked eyes, both unable to hide their surprise, thinking:
'Why her?'
'Why is she here?'
"My! Isn't this the talented and beautiful Miss Alva from the Baldwins? How on earth could you get her
to pretend to be your girlfriend?"
Apparently, Madam Steele wasn’t easily fooled.
"Good evening, Madam." Alva politely greeted Belinda.
"I had an accident a week ago, and Alva saved me,” Colbert explained. “When she rescued me from
the car, I gave her our family's ancestral ring. Surely you know what this ring represents, Grandmother."
He raised his left hand to show the black diamond ring.
Eudora saw the ring and suddenly remembered… No wonder she found a ring in her pocket right after
she saved Colbert that night!
But the next day, after Alva's visit, Eudora couldn't find that ring.
‘Alva must have known that the ring belonged to Colbert and took it!’
Eudora stood up. "That ring is…"
"Eudora, why are you here? I didn't expect to meet you here."
Alva suppressed her immense shock and quickly grabbed Colbert's wrist, "Eudora, this is the person I
told you about! The one I risked my life to save."
Then, she turned to Colbert. "Colbert, this is Eudora, a friend I met while doing food delivery."
Eudora couldn’t believe the nonsense coming out of her sister’s mouth.
For a moment, she really wanted to tear the disgusting mask off Alva’s face and reveal her lies, but she
thought better of it.
The only solid thing that could prove she saved Colbert was the ring.
But Alva, who could steal the ring and trick Colbert, must have made thorough preparations to take her
place, including erasing any surveillance camera footage.
If Eudora were to accuse Alva now, she wouldn't have any evidence to back herself up. She might
even bring trouble upon herself. ‘Better wait and watch the situation.’
"Is that so?"
Colbert narrowed his eyes, his gaze became even deeper as he examined Eudora.
"What a coincidence to meet you here, Eudora! Do you know Colbert, too?" Alva remembered that
Colbert mentioned his grandmother arranging a marriage for him.
‘Could Eudora be the one he was going to marry?’
‘But how could she know anyone from the Steeles?’
Alva felt uneasy inside.
Eudora didn’t want to deal with her sister, a professional liar. She turned to Belinda, "Madam Steele,
since Mr. Colbert already has a girlfriend, I believe I can take my leave now."
She was testing Madam Steele's attitude, so she could make her next move accordingly.
In the face of the powerful and ruthless Colbert, as well as the Baldwins who constantly used her foster
parents as a threat against her, Eudora had to be cautious.
Seeing her turn to leave, Belinda stood up and grabbed Eudora's hand. "Not so fast, child. Stay with us Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
for a bit more, okay?"
Belinda pulled Eudora to sit down on a chair, then sternly said to her grandson, "You brat, come with
me! We need to have a talk."
"Yes, Grandmother." Colbert followed Belinda into another more private room. He gave Eudora a
meaningful look as he passed her by.
With a creak, the door to the room closed.
Alva couldn't hold back her anger any longer. She approached Eudora in hastened steps and
whispered, "You bitch! I can’t believe you—"
Slap! Slap!
Before Alva could finish, Eudora slapped Alva twice on the face, "What else can you do other than
insulting me all day? Oh, right, you can also steal stuff and play innocent. Isn’t that right, sister?"
Alva didn't expect Eudora to react so quickly. Before she could do anything, Eudora had already
slapped her twice, making her ears ring.
Alva was angry, but she couldn't fight Eudora here.
"Don't call me sister. Shut up!" Alva gritted her teeth, enduring the pain in her cheeks. She lowered her
voice, "But you were smart enough not to speak up just now. Otherwise, you'd need to get coffins ready
for your foster parents!"
She had thought that Eudora would argue with her. Alva had even prepared responses in her head, but
to her surprise, Eudora remained silent, which made Alva look at her in a new light.
"Heh." Eudora smirked, "After saving Mr. Steele, he promised a 100-million-dollar reward. I'll give you a
50% discount. 50 million, as hush money. Otherwise, when Mr. Steele finds out the truth, as your sister,
I may have to get a coffin ready for you."
"50… 50 million? Are you dreaming?"
"Well, maybe, but I can assure you that if you don't do as I say, your dream of marrying into the Steele
family will never come true."
Alva was stunned and speechless.

Meanwhile, in the room with Grandmother Belinda…
Belinda explained to Colbert what had happened last night, "And Eudora is a good girl! You slept with
her, so you have to take full responsibility!"
Colbert initially thought that it was Eudora who had drugged him, so he felt something was off when
she followed him into the elevator.
Although he now knew it was actually Belinda behind the entire thing, he still felt Eudora was up to
something.
"I already have a girlfriend. As for Eudora, I can compensate her with money." Colbert remembered
Eudora saying last night that she only wanted money.
If so, he could grant her wish easily.
"Hmph, am I just an old fool to you now? I know that Alva is a fake girlfriend."
"What do I have to do to make you believe me, Grandmother?" Colbert felt a headache coming on.
"Well, how about this? After two months, you can marry whoever gets pregnant first."
Colbert was speechless. What kind of solution was that?
"Don't look at me like that! Feelings can be cultivated, you know." Belinda thought Colbert might find
Eudora unattractive, "Don't judge a book by its cover! Eudora might look mediocre, but as they say,
beauty can be a curse. You're gonna save yourself a lot of trouble. Eudora will stay here with us for a
couple of days. You should send Miss Alva back."
Belinda was worried that Colbert would force Eudora to take the contraceptives, so she had to keep
Eudora close for at least three days.
After all, emergency contraceptives were only effective within 72 hours, and taking the pills later
wouldn't be of much use.
Hearing Belinda's words, a coldness appeared on Colbert's handsome face. He turned around and
walked out of the room.
"Colbert," Alva approached him.
Ignoring her, Colbert walked straight up to Eudora and lifted her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze, "I'm
only going to say this once. Don't try anything funny, or I will make sure you regret it!"
Eudora pushed Colbert's hand away and mumbled, "I didn’t even want to…"
Eudora did not want to stay in this mansion at all, but when she saw Alva's jealous expression, she
immediately changed her tone. "You’ll have to talk to your grandma about that."
"Who said you could call her ‘Grandma’? You really are eager huh?" Colbert sneered.
"Well… If I’m really carrying your baby, I’ll have to marry you even if I don’t want to. After all…" Eudora
paused and looked toward Belinda, smiling sweetly, "Grandma really wants me to marry you."
Alva was infuriated upon hearing Eudora's words, wishing she could tear her mouth apart!
This bitch!
How could Eudora be so shameless as to seduce her 'boyfriend'?!
It's as if Alva already forgot she isn't even his real girlfriend! She sure played the role well.
Seeing Alva's jealous expression, Eudora's mood improved significantly.
"I hope you can still be so confident after three days," Colbert's lips pulled into a cold arc.
"Colbert, what are you doing?" Belinda scolded sternly.
Colbert let go of Eudora and said to Alva, "Let's go."
Alva bit her lip, feeling dissatisfied.
It was a rare opportunity for her to visit the Steele’s, but she didn't even get a chance to talk to Madam
Steele properly.
Yet Alva still managed to put on a graceful smile and nodded at Belinda, "Colbert and I will take our
leave, Madam Steele."
"Mhm," Belinda responded somewhat nonchalantly, not really paying attention to Alva.
Alva walked out of the door with Colbert.
Watching Colbert's back, Eudora couldn't help but feel gleeful about pissing off Alva.
Although… She had made Alva angry and also offended Colbert Steele!
‘Acting tough was fun, but I might regret it later…"
