Love Began with the First Meeting

Chapter 1404 Extra Story 7 Of Mark Goodbye

The happiest thing about love was that there would be a response when I called out to you gently

At that time, the kies between them had been as mild as a spring breeze, and as sweet as the falling cherry blossoms. There had always been a

connection between them.

Sally endured Addison's Serce kiss in silence. At the same time, she kept thinking about the good memories that they had shared in the past seven years so that she wouldn't shake so badly. However, a voice inside her kept telling her that it was a fact that everything had changed, and there was no way to change it back

Tears sipped from her eyes down to their interlaced lips. Tasting her sally tears, Addison stopped his kissing. Feeling hurt and rejected, he closed his eyes and let go of Sally's lips, but he didn't move away

Seven years ago, she would be palpitating at the mere thought of his kiss, but now... How could she now only feel humiliated?

Her rejection left Addison feeling more humilisted than he had ever felt before. Why had he waited at the parking lot? Why had he decided to bring her back? Maybe it was because he hadn't reconciled with her, or because he had been discontented, but his ariety certainly factored in

It was all written on her face that she didn't want him to dig up what had happened to her over the past seven years. And clearly, someone had helped her to hide her past. Addison wasn't a curious person by nature, but with the help of the Shadow Organization and XK Intelligence Agency, there was nothing that he wouldn't discover

However, this was Sally! She was so clearly resisting him now, but he couldn't bear the thought of forcing her, or hurting her.

"I drive you home." Addison said sadly. He sat up straight, started the car and then drove it quietly and steadily toward the Romantic Club.

The retum trip was different from how they had come to the villa, and it was extremely quiet on the way back to the Romantic Club. The atmosphere in the car was oppressive and threatened to suffocate them

Addison always thought that Sally would forever be only a few steps away, no matter whether it was seven years ago, or right now. Their closeness had been a constant force in their lives. However, their relationship had ended moments after it had just begun

When the car stopped near the elevator in the parking lot, Addison didn't say anything nor even look at Sally. He was afraid that he couldn't face her. Sally laid her slender hand on the door and pushed lightly. The door opened. Sally slowly stepped out with one leg and said in a low voice "Addison..." Both of her feet were outside of the car now, on the ground and ready to carry her away, but she hesitated and still sat in the car with her back to Addison. It was said that people would always year for light and time, and therefore they always faced the sun or the light. If you always turned your back to the light, you would become lost in the dark and then lose the confidence to seize the opportunity to gain what you really wanted. I have lost my opportunity for happiness. Sally grimly thought to herself. People moved on. Such was the way of the world. But Addison hadn't let go, because he still had hopes for Sally. Now that he had seen Sally and realized that they couldn't go back to the way they were, he would finally forget about the past and move on. Time would erased everything.

"I'm sorry." Sally said, looking blankly ahead of her, and her face 1led with sorrow. "I thought I wouldn't change, but I overestimated myself." Her voice was carefully devoid of emotions. She had leamed how to conceal her real feelings during her seven terrible years in jail. "You are a good person. A perfect, impeccable man. I admired you, but I feel nothing for you now. You couldn't remain in my heart just because of your perfection.

Addison listened quiety, while his left hand stayed tightly clenched around the steering wheel, and his foot stomped down hard on the brakes "Thank you," Sally continued honestly, tears cascading down her face. "Thank you for the seven years of your company at that most innocentage" Sally finally got out, closed the car door, and then resisting her impulse to run away, she walked away with determined steps in her 10-centimeter high heels.

For a long time Addison wasn't able to gather up his courage to look at Sally, until finally he could hardly even hear her footsteps. He turned his head to follow her, but could only catch a glimpse of her. Then she disappeared around the comer like she had done seven years ago.

Addison lay back silently in the driver's seat, staring into empty space with his watery eyes. His soul had been evacuated, and his body was completely nerveless. If love was the curse of the Long Family, what could he do to break that curse? Let her go, or force her to stay with him? He couldn't act tough to Sally, as his father had done with his mother. Yet he wasn't willing to let her go, either.

His heart twitched, like someone was ripping it apart with barbed wires. The pain grew worse and it throbbed painfully in his chest. Addison covered the left side of his chest with one hand, while the other hand gripped the steer wheel sighter, until the blue veins stood out between his fingers. He lowered his head, opened his mouth and struggled painfully to breathe.

The pain was dozens of times, or even a hundred times worse than any of the injures which he had sustained when he was training. How could he let go of her while he was in such pain? But how could he bear to see her unhappy, if he forced her to stay with him? He was standing at crossroads.

There was nothing he could do. There was no clear path to take

Addison raised his head and smiled bitterly from beneath his pale, bloodshot eyes. After several long moments he recovered from the pain, and started the car, pushing it into gear. Then he drove away quickly with the engine roaring, and the fires squealing around the corner of the parking lot.

As the car was driving off, Sally stepped out from the entrance to the elevator and watched till the car was gone from sight. Her tears were falling like pearls unstrung across her marbled cheeks.

Goodbye, Addison! Thanks for your love and your years of waiting! I live on happily with the memory of your love, and i forget the past. And you. please just stay where you belong and live your life seriously. You will fall in love with another woman who would finally match your royal status, Sally thought bitterly

Mysterious encounters always happened at night

Matthew sat in a cafe, nursing a cup of tepid coffee in his hand. He was checking the messages sent by his subordinates on his phone, and then a slight smile brushed his twisted lips. Sometimes you wouldn't know the things you wanted to know, but what you hadn't intended to know, you would inadvertently find out about. How marvelous it was?

"Master Matthew," Ian Zhou, Matthew's special assistant said, and walked up to him. "It seems that Addison has been looking into Sally's past." Smiling, Matthew thought for a while and answered, "We can't afford to lose the advantage. If Addison were to find out about what had happened to Sally seven years ago, we would muck up the whole thing." He paused for a moment, and then continued, "I really don't want the Long Family to stop into this. If they dug up the truth, we would all get burnt."

lan listened quietly, waiting for Matthew to finish, and then added. Fortunately, Henrik doesn't want Addison to know about it, either. He had Sally's identy erased when the Ji Family adopted Rachel. There is still a 'Sally out in the world but it isn't really Sally. Maybe Sally doesn't even know herself that she doesn't exist in the world anymore."

"Book a seat on tomorrow's earliest fight to the Dragon Island for me." said Matthew, the comers of his lips raising into a smile. "Henrik will return to the Dragon Island in two days' time to celebrate Roger's birthday. We must prepare in a In advance."

"Yes, sir," lan replied. "I go make the arrangements now."

For some people, the night had become special because of Sally. For others, it was just a night that was too short for sleep. In the early morning while most people were still struggling to leave their beds, the International Airport of T City had become a bustling hive of activity in the dim lights.

In the VIP guest room of the International Airport

Matthew was siting with his legs crossed and was reading a finance and economics magazine. He happened to come across Henrik's interviewin the glossy pages, and cheerfully started to read it until the silence of the room was interrupted by rapidly approaching footsteps.

"Master Matthew, Master Addison is here!" lan bowed and said.

Matthew raised his head and saw Addison walking into the room with one hand in his pocket, followed by Wyatt. Closing the magazine, Matthew got up in a leisurely manner. Then he walked up to Addison, bowed slightly and greeted, "Addison

"Mathew, you are taking this flight to Dragon baland, too?" Addison asked quite formally

"Yes, I am" Matthew replied reverently. "What a coincidence!" He grinned. "It's my great honor to take the same fight as you, Addison Addison chuckled. He was not like the other members of the Long Family who always wore such solemn faces. Like Hawk, he was placid and elegant. When he smiled, there were two cute dimples revealed on his cheeks. People would sometimes be deceived by his innocent face and then lose their sense of caution. "You are still such a sweet talker, Matthew? Addison said, and then his face turned cold. "It would be nice if you were the head of the Tang Family" When he finished speaking. Addison stared at Matthew, his eyes darkened and dangerous.

Seeing that Mathew was embarrassed, Addison looked away and said coldly, "Excuse me, but I must be leaving now." Then he walked toward the departure gate with Wyatt.

"Master Matthew, lan murmured gently. After watching Addison leave, lan turned his head and saw Mathew's long face, and his heart ached for his young master's plight. "Master Addison is one of the ruler candidates of the Long Family. His arrogance is to be expected."

"Well," Matthew snorted derisively. "He's not arrogant! He's exceptionally supercilious! And he's close to Uncle Yates, the ruler of our Tang Family. Do you honestly think that he would ever acknowledge us? We are nothing in his eyes."

lan didn't answer. The Old Master Tang adored his youngest son, Yates, and had let him inherit the Tang Family, regardless of his poor health. When the second son had died, it should have been Mathew's father, the third son of the Tang Family who should have been the successor. But Yates had stolen that way. Matthew and his father had not reconciled with him ye

"It's almost time, Master Matthew" lan checked the time and noticed that their flight was boarding. "We should board the plane, too." Matthew grew depressed at the thought of staying on the same airplane with Addison for more than an hour. He walked unwillingly toward the boarding gate. But when he stepped onto the plane, he didn't see Addison in the first-class cabin!

Addison was seated in economy class and Wyatt was sitting behind him, but the seat next to him by the window was empty

Addison was staring at the door of the plane, watching the passengers boarding, and hoping that he would see Saly walk in. Memories flooded his head when he had been with Sally.

"Addison, you usually travel in your personal aircraft or the first-class cabin Sally had joked. "Not like me. I haven't been on an airplane before!"

On the Dragon Island, travelling by a plane meant that you were travelling abroad. The Dragon Island was no longer a semi-closed island as before. Nowadays, it was a completely open island, but still the islanders couldn't travel abroad freely. Sally had never thought of leaving the Dragon Island. The outside world was wonderful but it meant nothing to her because her family and Addison were not there.

"If we take the plane together, you must sit in the economy class with me" Sally had laughed with an innocent face. "I think I can afford a few short distance fights."

"I pay for your ticket!" Addison had said, looking at her with his tender eyes.

"No, you will not" Sally had countered determinedly. "The saved the money. This is going to be my first trip. And it's going to be meaningful. I cannot let you pay? Then she wore a long, donkey face and continued, "The tickets from the airlines in other countries are getting cheaper because of competition. Why are those of your airline getting more and more expensive? It doesn't make sense!" Sally was upset. "Why doesn't the imperial household take any measures of macro-control?"

Addison laughed, then explained to her patiently. "Only if the economy of the whole island grows, can the lives of the islanders be improved to the maximum. So my job is not to control the prices of tickets, but to develop the economy of the island!"

"Well, in that case, I shall have to make a contribution to the development of the island's economy, too" Sally had said, and had than rested her head on Addison's shoulder. "Let me pay for both of our tickets. But then I shall have run out money, so you will have to take care of all the other costs."

"Okay." Addison had happily agreed.

As the airplane scared over the natural coastal forests, sunshine poured down through the leaves, printing mottled shadows on them. It was the most beautiful picture in their memory, a picture that they always cherished. But the past had been left in the past. Their states of mind and their dispositions had both changed after surviving years of ruthlessness.

The plane quickly started taxding down the track, and then slowly took off. Addison watched the dramatic views over the whole of T City from high up in the sky, but inside he was lost in disappointed memories

The Ji Family, as one of the four biggest families of the Dragon bland, had once ranked shortly after the Tang Family. So, the birthday party of the Old Master Ji was given extensive attention. He could even have been compared to royalty.

The entire media of the island, all the newspapers and magazines, had been reporting on Roger's birthday arrangements for the last two days. After the turbulent battle between the royalty and the four prominent families, Henrik, the only son of the Ji Family, had become the ruler of the Ji family which not only highlighted the inevitable change of an era, but also meant that Henric's secrets had become his enemy's most powerful weapon

against him.

"Young Master," Wyatt said as he entered. Seeing the maidservant was helping Addison get dressed, he lowered his head and continued. "We have sent the gift to the J's. Roger said he wanted to have a little chat with you before the party. If it's convenient, he wants you to show up early" Addison waited for the maidservant to fasten the shield boutonniere, the sigli of ruler candidate, on his chest, then lifted his leg and said, "Then, let's head for the Jis."

"Copy that" Wyatt replied, nodded to the maidservant, and then followed Addison out.

It was a hot summer day on the Dragon Island, and even the sea breeze felt sultry. Addison sat in the car, checking the data report with the laptop on his knees. Frowning, he took out his phone, dialed a number and then yelled, "Charlie, I have warned you about this!"

"Yeah, but I didn't make you any promises!" Charle answered in a lazy voice filled with relish at the inconvenience he had now caused. Laughing proudly, Charlie had the picture of a frowning Addison in his mind. "Addison, it was Elsa's idea, and Evelyn agreed with it, too."

Addison rubbed at his nose between the eyes and said, "Don't always use them to excuse yourself. if you continue on being like this, you will swifty swallow up the game department of the Flight Media. And in the end. It will be me who cleans up the mess you make, again." He had always helped Charlie. But if Charlie's power kept growing stronger, then as the president of the Dragon Empire Group, he would have to suppress Charlie's faction to balance the power of each faction in the group. This would be his last resort.

"Tve just arrived at the Ji's," Charlie said, and shot Elsa a glance to comfort her when he saw that she was worried about Addison blaming her. "We'll continue our talk when you arrive." Then he hung up the phone hurriedly.

Addison heard the beep sound of the phone, and then frowned even harder. Charlie and Evelyn were completely messing around! Addison heaved a sigh, and then continue to work. He typed on the laptop with his slender fingers to reply to the email sent from the Flight Media, then he closed the laptop and turned to look at the views outside of the window

A person who had just gotten out of a relationship couldn't bear to see the intimacy between other couples in the places where he had himself been on dates. Addison wasn't an exception. He was also human and had feelings!

Maybe the kids were all just precocious. Charlie had fallen in love with Elsa since he was a youngster, wise, when Addison had developed a crush on Sally, he had also only been thirteen or fourteen. The difference was that Charle and Elsa had ended up getting married, but Addison was still

alone.

A bitter smile flashed across Addison's face, and the car turned onto the boulevard.

All the celebrities from political and business circles had gathered for Roger's birthday party. Even all of the parents who had gone abroad and no longer took care of their affairs had returned to Dragon Island

Journalists from all of the media outlets clicked their cameras insanely when they saw cars arrive at the party.

"Addison's car is arriving someone yelled. Suddenly everyone was rushing to the gate

A catchy Bentley was driving in

The sound of clicking cameras came in rapid staccato, and the many flashes were like a blinding lightning storm.
