Chapter 295
“I once made a vow. Whoever could save my grandfather, I would offer myself to them. Tonight, I am here to fulfill that promise..." Allison's cheeks flushed. Her beauty was made even more irresistible by the shy vulnerability in her gaze.
Dustin froze.
Was she serious?
How was anyone supposed to maintain composure in the face of such boldness?
"Miss, I..."
Before he could finish, he was gently but firmly pushed into the room.
She used her slender leg to push the door close. Then, she approached Dustin.
Dustin swallowed hard.
The temptation was overwhelming. If not for his steadfast principles, he might have already lost control.
'She must be too warm... That's why she's removed her outer robe... She doesn't mean anything else...' he thought to himself.
"Sir, to give myself to you is my honor," Allison whispered in her low and sultry voice. Every syllable dripped with allure.
Every movement and every glance she cast at him was like adding fuel to a fire that Dustin struggled to contain.
But then his brows furrowed.
A strange scent lingered in the air.
As the disciple of the Medicine God, Dustin had tasted and studied countless herbs and toxins atop Mount Taolo. His keen senses instantly identified the scent.
Someone had drugged him.
It was an aphrodisiac. Its potency was released through the scent.
It was the infamous Seven Desires Incense. It had once been used by a notorious rapist in Lovellia who had been hunted down by the Martial League years ago.
"Fustin..."
Allison threw herself into his arms. Her entire being exuded an irresistible charm.
Her eyes shimmered with longing. Her lips parted slightly as if begging to be claimed.novelbin
However, Dustin's face grew darker.
He did not like being manipulated.
Allison, overwhelmed by the drug's effects, clung to him desperately and her slender arms wrapped around his neck.
With a swift yet precise motion, Dustin pressed a finger on her back, and she lost consciousness. Her body instantly went limp, and he caught her gently and lowered her onto the bed with care.
Then, he turned and left the room.
Outside, he leaped onto the rooftops and moved soundlessly through the shadows as he searched for the person responsible for trying to drug him. It did not take long before he spotted a figure dressed in dark clothing moving stealthily through the night.
The man had just left Dustin's quarter and was now sneaking back the way he had come.
Dustin used his concealment technique and followed silently.
His adopted father, Lucas, had taught him many skills, including tracking and stealth.
Even though the figure ahead was no novice, he remained completely unaware of Dustin's presence.
After some time, the man arrived in a secluded courtyard.
Removing his dark clothing, he revealed his identity.
Dustin blinked in surprise.
It was none other than Jonathan himself.
Had he really drugged his own granddaughter?
Dustin was confused.
"Ha ha ha..."
Jonathan chuckled darkly to himself, and his grin widened with satisfaction.
"By now, that boy and Allison should be caught up in a blazing inferno of passion," he muttered. He was clearly pleased with himself.
"The disciple of the Medicine God, a top-tier Martial Saint in his early twenties! A man like that will shake the world one day and will leave an immortal name behind. He's the perfect son-in-law for the McCall family! If I let him slip away, our ancestors would crawl out of their graves to hit me!"
Dustin's lips twitched.
So, that was Jonathan's plan.
"Thank goodness I kept some of that Seven Desires Incense from when we hunted down that blasted rapist years ago. Otherwise, ordinary drugs wouldn't have worked on someone of his caliber."
Jonathan chuckled again. He was clearly impressed with his own ingenuity.
"You old rascal," Dustin muttered as his face darkened.
Drugging him? That was bold.
Quietly, he reached into his robes and pulled out something Lucas had crafted during a moment of whimsical inspiration.
It was a peculiar elixir named 'Seven-Night Wonder'.
Moments later, Dustin left the courtyard with a faint smile on his lips.
"Awooooooo!"
Behind him, a series of howls erupted, startling the otherwise silent night. The sounds were raw and unrestrained, akin to a wolf baying at the moon.
The noise reverberated through the entire McCall family villa.
It would continue for days.
