Chapter 4 Make The Best of The Worst
It made Susie silent.
Does Jiang’s family need money? Of course no, their wealth could sustain for generations, and they were in the best of their days. Word had it that the jade bracelet on Mrs. Jiang’s wrist worth at least tens of millions.
Therefore, whatever present she may give, Leo would not be interested at all.
She started regretting having made such a deal with Leo, it could’ve been nothing more than an embarrassment which she wouldn’t care at all. And Leo didn’t seem like someone she could easily get rid of.
“Hello? I’m still here, and your answer?” Sharp questions came down onto Susie one after another, Leo was either scheming or just too curious and hurried.
Susie stayed calm: “Then what is your suggestion?”
“Oh, so I can have whatever I ask for?”
“If it’s within my capability.” Not wanting to waste any more time with Leo, Susie answered quickly.
“Well…I think I need, um, a wife.”
Susie nearly fell off the chair, worrying about what Leo would say next.
“You know, I’m already twenty-seven, all alone, no romantic tidbits, which made those paparazzies gossiping me of being a gay, well that was some damage on my reputation. “It’s not up to you to decide.” Leo was certain.
“Your excellence can definitely give you much better choices in choosing your lover, and I’m not the only one in the River City, why make me go against my will?”
Against her will? Susie was clearly reluctant to Leo’s demand.
Leo chuckled: “So you’re kicking down the ladder now?”
“That’s not…”
“So, you think I’m forcing you into something you don’t want, huh? Well I didn’t remember you asking about my feeling during the wedding, am I mistaken?” Leo winked.
“Well…”
Susie took a deep breath and closed her eyes, and her regret couldn’t grow any further. She so shouldn’t have done it if she had known the “black suite, playing with his phone” man was Leo. She knew who Leo is and she had no intention of riding on his coattails, but now it seemed like it was possible to get rid of him.
“So, Leo Jiang, what do you want?”
And that was a giveaway of her true color: She’s not that kind of well-cultured and good-mannered noble princess, she’s a wild cat that knows clearly when to show claws.
