Chapter 24 Unpredictable
Chapter 24 Unpredictable
Though everybody was embarrassed by Sehastian’s lack of interests. As a well-experienced playboy,
Max came to rescue, “Sebastain, what’s wrong with Ada?”
As he said, he gesticulated, “Look at her temperament, figure and appearance! She’s no worse than
those celebrities and models!”
Seeing someone helping her, Ada pretended to look pale and aggrieved.
Ethan is a decent wealthy man who was well-educated since he was a child. He was only in this club
because of Max. In an aloof tone, he squinted at the others, “That’s about it tonight. We should head
back.”
Max was a bit drunk and said recklessly, “Are you a real man or not, Sehastian! Can’t you do it?”
Sehastian’s face changed in a second. Ethan was worried that he would knock Max down. He asked all
the ladies out of the room and then persuaded Sehastian to leave Y Club.
Three days later, Emily followed the schedule and personally accompanied Oskar to view the
properties as a sales lady and served him in every possible way.
When there was the last one left to be viewed, Evelyn called and said that the shareholders had
withdrawn their shares. The King family and the Morris family did not have a deep friendship, and the
shares were regarded as sponsor stock back then. The Kings must had heard some rumours to
withdraw.
Emily felt that there must be something strange about this matter. She was smart enough to notice the
King family and the Clark family had always had a good relationship, and she just pissed Sehastian
Clark off. And look what came to her now!
This was obviously deliberate, and the target of the attack was her.
Emily didn't have time to be pretentious. When she arrived in Seaview Properties, Hope was waiting for
her. She was going to take Emily to the hospital before she meets Sehastian.
“I will explain to Mr. Clark about the child, but I will not go to the hospital with you”, said Emily.
Because there was no child in her belly, it was a lie she made up in front of everyone.
As a woman herself, Hope surly knew what she meant. She drove along the way without saying
anything.
Sehastian must have some profound intentions to make an appointment at a high-end club where
layers of inspections must be passed. Besides, the appointment was set for 11 o'clock in the evening.
Emily walked to the door and was forced back several steps by the erosive and dim atmosphere in the
private room. The light shone in from the open door, and someone turned his head.
“Miss Morris, you are finally here. Mr. Clark has been waiting for a long while.” It was Dylan Fox, the
scum who colluded with Dorothy to humiliate her and tried to put her back into jail.
Emily sighed viciously and was obviously disgusted by his pretence, “Mr. Fox, it's not like we don't
know each other. Why are you pretending?”
Hearing this, Dylan squinted at her in a nasty way, “Miss Morris, are you still rankled what happened
last time in your mind? That was me drinking too much and acting recklessly. I hope you can forgive
such an old fellow like me.”
“Where is Mr. Clark?”, Emily asked flatly, unwilling to look at the man again.
“President Clark is dealing with some business issues in the private room next door. We were assigned
to take good care of Miss Morris”, Dylan said when he was going to come over and pull her in.
The scene of Dylan made a compliment, as well as a kneeling apology triggered her caution. Everyone
in this room was half-drunk, she would be in a perilous position if she went in, Emily stood in fornt of
the door and thought about it.
In order to avoid his nasty hands, Emily had to step back until a hard wall of flesh against her back and
one arm wrapped around her waist.
“What is going on here?”, said Sehastian.
“Mr. Clark, I was just making a joke with Miss Morris, please don’t mind us.”
Sebastin looked at him with a sharp look in his eyes, which seemed to be forgiving, but also like to be
provocative. He straightened Emily’s body using one hand and said to Dylan, “That’s alright, Mr. Fox is
my guest today.”
When Dylan heard this, his face was lighted with joy. He bent over and said, “Mr. Clark must be
kidding. I'm far inferior to your... What a fool I am! How can I compare to you?”
The people in the room were all flattering him, and said all the nice things to him. He acted as if he
enjoyed every single compliments and drank up to every toast. Everyone thought that Sehastian was
smiling and in a good mood, only Emily was sweating in nervous.
Someone suddenly proposed to play truth or dare at the table. Sehastian lost right away in the first
round.
“Mr. Clark, what is the funniest joke you have ever heard?”
It must be because he was a bit drunk. Emily heard him, “A woman ran to me to say that she was
pregnant and wanted me to marry her.”
The room began to heckle. Emily was the only one who sat quietly opposite Sehastian with a brief
guilty look on her face. She was not sure whether Sehastian was drunk to talk nonsense or deliberately
acted for her.
After five rounds, he lost three rounds. Someone eventually asked, “Who is the woman?”
Emily was worried. She was sitting there like a prisoner under a fig leaf. Someone wanted to tear the
cloth on her face, and that person was approaching her.
When Sehastian’s thin lips moved slightly, Emily couldn't handle it anymore. She stood up and turned This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
around to go out.
With a loud “bang”, the bottle in Sehastian’s hand was slammed by him on the wine table. The wine
bottle, the cups, and the fruit spilt all over the floor, making everyone panic.
“Who dares to leave here now will be out in a body bag.”
Based on the compliments from Sebastian earlier on, Dylan Fox honoured himself as Sebastain’s
steward. He yelled, “No one leaves! Let’s paint the town red with Mr. Clark…”
Dylan was kicked on the ground when he was still choking some words in his throat. He then shouted,
“Argh! Argh! What did I say wrong? Mr. Clark! Please forgive my stupid mouth!”
Emily was also shocked by this sudden scene. From her angle, she could see Dylan bleeding from the
back of his head pierced by the glass on the ground. There were two big guys who appeared behind
Sehastian were ready to give Dylan a hard kick.
Emily was sure that might kill Dylan, so she had to place herself in the middle of it. The kick fell on her
stomach. It did hurt, and her whole body was aching and on the edge of splitting into pieces. The pain
made her dizzy and see stars.
“Sehastian, don’t kill him. You have no right to end a life!” Emily cried out by clutching her stomach.
She didn't know what would happen as she challenged his authority in front of everyone in this way, but
Dylan Fox can’t die. She couldn’t care less about the life-or-death of this scum, but only because he
was a shareholder of the Morris family, he can't die just like this. Besides, he would be useful in the
future.
Sehastian clenched his fists, then slowly relaxed. He walked to Emily and squatted down, wrapped her
waist and pulled her up from the ground.
“It's okay. I won't kill him.” The man's voice did not fluctuate even a bit.
Emily felt that he was as terrifying as a devil at this moment. The calmer his eyes were, the more likely
the storm was coming. She tried her best to step a few steps back to stay away from him.
