The CEO’s Hidden Love Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires

Chapter 1582

The trick? He got it from his old man, no doubt about it.

Catch someone off guard with a question, and you're likely to get the most honest answer. It's a lesson he learned the hard way as a kid. And, sure enough!

Felicity paused, taken aback, before glaring at him. "I'm not having kids with you!"

He just sighed, "Ah, well, I guess I'll just have to donate my fortune then. No one to leave it to."

"You're threatening me?"

"Not at all." Miles raised his hands, his too-handsome face a picture of innocence and sincerity, "I'm just discussing my plans. If you end up not forgiving me, not marrying me, then I guess I'll stay single forever. No talk of kids at all."

"Nice try," she muttered under her breath. "For all I know, you could be getting a call from Esther in a second, saying she's thought of ending it all, and misses you, and you'll rush right back..."

"That's not happening! I promise."

Felicity pursed her lips, silent.

He leaned in, asking gently, "Just give me one more chance, okay?"

She didn't respond right away, but as they neared the restaurant, she finally said, "Langston, I get what you're trying to say. Let me think it over. I think I rushed into agreeing to marry you, and we never really ironed out our differences. I need to be sure this time." Miles nodded, "Okay, I'll wait for you, however long it takes."

"Let's eat, I'm starving."

"Sure."

He parked the car and walked around to open the door for Felicity.

Seeing Miles, a CEO, doing what seemed like an assistant's job, she felt a twinge of guilt.

"You don't have to do this..."

"I want to," he said, offering his hand. "You're not quitting on me now, are you?"

Felicity looked down, thinking, "Give me a month. I'll have an answer for you." "Deal!"

...

Craig was finally coming home.

Aurora cleared her schedule, postponing even her art exhibition indefinitely, eager to bring him to Bay Residence to meet her parents and get the wedding planning underway! novelbin

When he said he was about an hour away from Eldorria City's freeway exit, Aurora was already there, scanning the incoming cars.

She felt differently this time around.

Back then, she was anxious, worried Craig might steadfastly refuse to reconcile. She couldn't really cut off all his work opportunities, could she? At last!

A familiar car rolled through the toll booth.

Aurora hurried out of her car, waving frantically at him!

Craig parked and approached, his tall frame blocking the sun so Aurora didn't have to shield her eyes.

"Don't stand so close to the freight area next time. I knew you were waiting; I would've come to you."

She pouted, "You've been gone for days, and the first thing you do is scold me!" "It's dangerous."

"Why can't you just coddle me a bit? Why pick on me the moment you get out of the car?" Aurora's excitement had been doused, "I wish I hadn't come. I'm leaving! I'm going right now!"

As she turned to leave, Craig quickly held her back, "Don't be like that." "Then make me feel better, and maybe I'll be okay."

Seeing the weariness in his eyes, Aurora knew Craig must've rushed back without proper rest, "Forget it I'll let it slide this time! I'll help you unload at the logistics center, then let's go grab something delicious."

"Alright."
