"You lied to me again."

These words were filled with grievances that had been suppressed for a long time.

Byron turned his head and saw her pursed lips and dejected expression. It was obvious how much damage she had suffered from not being able to eat.

If he couldn't coax her well, she might cry in the next second.

When he thought about it, it made sense. He had sex with her on the hot air balloon for more than an hour. He'd worked so hard that her tears had run out and the water had dried up. She needed to eat to energize herself.

Now, she couldn't even eat.

Of course, she would be upset..

Byron turned around and walked to the refrigerator. He took out the cake that had been frozen for the entire afternoon and placed it on the table. He opened the lid and said, "I originally wanted to cut it after dinner. If you're hungry, eat this first." Maeve looked up with red eyes. When she saw the overly sloppy cake, she felt even more aggrieved. "Why is this cake so ugly?"

She had never seen such an ugly cake.

Doraemon's drawings were all crooked.

It was not as good as Theo's drawing.

Byron was silent for a few seconds. The tips of his ears which were hidden by his black hair turned red. "It's my first time doing it. I don't have any experience."

When Maeve heard that he was the one who made it, the grievance in Maeve's eyes turned into deep shock.

Byron felt a little uncomfortable under her gaze. He turned around and said stiffly, "If you don't want to eat it, throw it away I'll get someone to order another one later."

"No, there's no need." Maeve looked at the ugly cake. For some reason, it was much more pleasing to the eye. appearance of the food is not important. It's fine as long as it's delicious."

As she looked at it, she suddenly couldn't bear to eat it. Even the ugly daisy on the cake looked cute.

"The

"I want to wait until after dinner. Is there any fruit in the kitchen to fill my stomach?" she asked, turning her head.

Byron nodded and led her to the kitchen. He washed the strawberries the size of eggs on the cart for her to eat slowly. Maeve did not go out either. She stood there with the bowl in her arms and ate while watching him cook.

Byron occasionally turned around and saw her wrapping a huge strawberry in her mouth. One side of her cheeks was round, and some pink strawberry juice flowed down the corner of her mouth.

She sucked back the strawberry juice and continued to chew like a chipmunk.novelbin

He seemed to have thought of something. His eyes darkened and his Adam's apple bobbed slightly.

Maeve's hand that was holding the strawberry hesitated for a moment. She turned around and brought it to his mouth. "Do

you want to eat it?"

It didn't seem right to let him work there while she ate alone her.

Byron did not refuse. He lowered his head and bit off half of the strawbqrry.

There was too much strawberry juice of this variety. It exploded with a bite and splashed on his chin and collarbone as if it had been smeared with ambiguous powder.

Maeve's ears started to heat up. She guiltily avoided it to look for tissue and handed it to Byron.

"Help me." Byron bit off the remaining part of the strawberry. His deep voice had a vague magnetism to it, and it sounded unreasonable.

Maeve looked at his busy hands and hesitated fora few seconds. In the end, he tiptoed and wiped the strawberry juice off his body.

This time, she didn't dare to feed him anymore. She felt comfortable eating the remaining strawberries alone.

In a daze, she felt like she had returned to the villa in Erancia.

Every day, after class, she would go back with Byron. She would help him in the kitchen and wait for dinner. Occasionally, she would ask him to make snacks and her favorite, drinks. She had been too embarrassed to tell him that although the drinks he cooked were delicious and healthy, she often missed the drinks shop.

At the thought of this, Maeve could not help but feel sour.

There was no going back.

"Come and eat," Byron casually reminded her.

Maeve came back to her senses, put down the empty bowl, and followed him out of the kitchen.

At least she was happy today. That was enough.

After eating and drinking their fill, the two of them walked slowly around the small path at the outermost circle of the island.

The streetlights were bright. Occasionally, the sound of waves crashing against the shore and the chirping of cicadas in the bushes could be heard. It was a wonderful scenery midsummer. As he walked, Maeve kicked something and immediately stopped.

He picked it up and saw that it was a bouquet of purple-white daisies with water droplets. The gradually changing color was covered in a dreamy halo under the street lamp. It was very beautiful. "Byron, aren't we the only ones here? Where did this bouquet come from?" Maeve asked curiously.

This was the first time she had seen roses of this color.

Byron slowly walked forward and answered her without stopping, "I don't know who dropped it here. Take it if no one wan it."

Maeve suddenly felt that she was a little lucky. She hugged the bouquet and followed his footsteps. She said happily, "I wonder if there's anything else ahead. If there is, I hope it's ten pounds of cash." 13:09 Thu, Jan 9

Byron's thin lips twitched slightly as he said indifferently, "Superficial."

"How is money superficial? It's clearly the most profound thing in the world!" Maeve said reasonably. "For example, if you put it at the finish line in a mile, people can use all their skills fort and unleash unlimited potential. It's even more attractive than beautiful women and handsome men."

"You already have a lot of money."

"That's different. I didn't earn it myself, and I didn't pick it up. There's nothing real about it."

Even if she now had over 20 million dollars, she would still be happy because she won 2 dollars from the lottery.

People who had suffered since they were young could not change their minds so easily.

Byron fell into deep thought and did not say anything else.

Then, Maeve really picked up the money.

And it was a bunch of green bills!

Although it was not ten pounds, there were probably tens of thousands of dollars in this stack.

"Is there a police station here? Who would be so careless as to leave so much money here?" Maeve asked in confusion.

"Can't you keep it yourself?" Byron was slightly puzzled.

"If this is 2 dollars, I'll keep it. If I don't keep this much money, I won't be able to live with my conscience."

"If you find it, it's yours. Why do you care so much?"

Maeve carried the money and felt that something was wrong.

It was too much of a coincidence. Just as she said that she wanted to pick up the money, a bunch of money fell to the ground for her to pick up.

It was as if...

"You're right. I'll keep it for myself then." Maeve rolled her eyes and held the money and the bouquet together. She looked a the night sky which was filled with twinkling stars and sighed. "I'm quite lucky today. I can pick up money just like that. It would be even more perfect if I had two more glasses of drinks."

Byron walked beside her and sneered. "Don't daydream. Why are there so many things for you to pick up?"

Less than five minutes after saying this, Maeve picked up two more bags of drinks on the way.

She held the bag and silently looked at the calm Byron beside her.

'Daydream? Why are there so many things for me to pick up? So what are all these?'

"Why are you looking at me?" Byron was mentally strong. As he asked, he opened the straw and inserted it into the plastic mouth of the drinks. He handed it to her.
