The Luna's Hidden Destiny

The Luna’s Hidden Destiny – Chapter 34

(Rowan)

F**k she was fast, where the hell did she go?

‘Tristan, can you catch up with her? She is going too far ahead.’

I quickly linked into the group. Tristan’s wolf Hadeon pulled ahead, following her scent as the air grew thick. He was our fastest wolf, I was the biggest and strongest but he beat us at agility every time. F**k how was Calypso so fast?

Bain growled as his claws slid out and the back of his hair stood up, brief panic filling him while he sniffed the air wildly.

‘Rowan, we aren’t alone.’

Blake quickly linked, running beside me now as I felt the presence of multiple wolves around us.C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.

‘Mila Stop!’

Shit..what the hell was going on. Just then I heard a loud yelp and my heart sank…Mila…

(Mila)

A large black and brown wolf pinned me down, that smell…I knew it anywhere. The wolf growled, baring those stained red teeth and I noticed the large scar going down his snout. He found me, had this been a trap? Calypso acted quickly, kicking and scratching the rogue as he snarled and tried to pin us down. Suddenly he was knocked to the ground, Hadeon, Tristan’s wolf tackled the large rogue, their jaws snapping and biting as I heard howls all around us.

‘Mila, are you okay?!’

Rowan linked, I could see Bain weaving through the trees as he approached us.

‘Yes…I’m..I’m sorry.’

I had gotten too carried away, I went too far and now Tristan was put in danger.

I felt horrible. I watched in horror as the two wolves fought. Just then Bain growled ferociously, lunging towards the wolf as Hadeon was thrown off and slammed against a tree. I ran over to him, relief filling me as he stood up just as quickly, ready to attack again. Rowan must have told him not to because he quickly looked at me and moved in front of me protectively.

Bain swiped his paw down, trapping the wolf beneath him as he bared his teeth. Suddenly Eris and the other warriors came into the clearing. A brown wolf who had the backpack quickly transformed, realizing it was the same guard from last night, Ian. He rushed towards Hadeon’s side to check him over. Once he was satisfied that there were no real injuries he quickly transformed back into his wolf and looked at me worriedly. He must have wondered if I was injured and I nodded my head, showing him everything was fine.

‘We shouldn’t have run off like that.’

I linked Calypso, feeling guilty.

The other guards watched Bain intently as he held the rogue down, his jaw latched onto his shoulder, making sure he wouldn’t move.

‘Stay by Tristan and don’t f*****g move.’

Rowan barked into our link, pure rage filling him as I did what he said.

That guilt rose even more as Eris now stood next to me. Suddenly multiple howls sounded off in the woods and I soon realized we were now surrounded.

‘They had been following us.’

Calypso said angrily, a growl leaving us as we sniffed the air.

At least six wolves stalked forward, their appearances gangly and rough, with their sewer-like stench filling the air as these rogues now had us circled. The worst part of it all was when my dad’s wolf Lucius walked forward with them.

My eyes widened, his stare burning into me as he sauntered towards us.

‘Dad, are you okay?’

I quickly linked him, panic filling me seeing him for the first time as Lucius growled towards Bain.

‘Come over here now Mila.’

My dad commanded, making my heart drop. Did he think I was in danger?

These are my friend’s, dad, they saved me after the rogue attack. We came to bring you to Black Stone.

I quickly linked to him. Blake’s wolf Hadeon stood in front of me, growling protectively as my dad stepped forward.

‘Mila, don’t go to him, he is working with the rogues.’

Rowan barked, biting down on the rogue’s shoulder harder, causing a low rumble of pain to leave the wolf.

Confusion filled me, my head becoming dizzy..what the hell was going on. Why would my dad be working with these men?

‘Mila now!’

My dad growled towards me..and that instinct to listen to him almost made me walk forward. I didn’t know what to do..panic filled me…I needed to speak to him, to show him that these weren’t the bad guys. How could he work with these men?

‘Dad, we came to bring you to Black Stone. If you come with us then we can be safe..these rogues, you can’t trust them. Did they take you as a prisoner?’

That had to be the answer, but why would he want me to go with them?

‘They are offering us protection, they promised not to touch you. We will run away and start over Mila, then no one will find us.’

He sounded manic, his words possessive and crazy.

‘But dad…I found my mate.’

I whispered, Lucius’s eyes grew wide, his teeth baring as he looked between the wolves.

‘Shift back now.’

He commanded, causing confusion to fill me.

‘Mila, what is he telling you?’

Rowan asked, his teeth still sunk into the rogue.

‘He wants me to shift back, I told him that I found my mate.’

I said quietly, my emotions unable to process what was going on.

I heard Calypso whimper, the sight of Lucius causing my heart to ache. Why was he acting like this?

‘Mila don’t.’

Rowan said quickly but before I could stop, I had already begun to shift, my hands covered my breasts as the warrior Ian shifted back with me. He quickly grabbed a black shirt and pair of pants from the backpack, handing them to me. Then my dad shifted, his eyes wild and full of anger. He stalked towards me and Hadeon and Tristan growled protectively.

“It’s okay.” I whispered, I noticed Bain watching my every move as the rogue wolf beneath him stared at me intently, his eyes feral.

My dad rushed past the wolves, I thought for a moment he would hug me but instead, he reached forward gripping my neck, and stared at my mark, his grip rough and cold.

“You let him mark you, Mila?!” He yelled, anger filling him as he looked at me. His hand tightened around my neck, causing me to wince.

Before I could even respond Bain was running towards us, my dad’s eyes grew wide as Bain shoved him back growling angrily. Rowan’s huge silver wolf now hovering over me protectively.

“Dad, it’s okay..please.” Tears began to prick my eyes, seeing how angry my dad was. I had never seen him this mad before, the way he looked at me with complete disgust.

Suddenly another voice spoke, his deep voice causing me to jump. That night rushing back to me as I turned to look at the now shifted rogue.

“This doesn’t change anything, old man. We kill the mate and the little wolf is mine.” The rogue said, causing me to gasp.

“What is he talking about?” I couldn’t believe this. Bain was furious.

‘He was going to give you to the f*****g rogue Mila.’

Rowan yelled into the link, his hair standing on the back of his neck as I stumbled back.

‘That..that can’t be true.’

I was shocked, that couldn’t be right..there was no way my dad would do that.

“Come here now Mila.” My dad growled, not even explaining himself as my head began to spin. How could he..he wouldn’t, he wouldn’t do that to me would he?

“Little wolf, you better listen to your dad. He knows what’s best for you.” The rogue said with a disgusting smirk, his shoulder bleeding down his arm as he licked his lips wildly, his eyes staring at me.

Bain barked at him, stepping forward as the guard who was now dressed took my arm, holding me steadily. The three other wolf warriors now standing around us protectively.

“You can’t go with him, I know he is your dad..but you need to stay right here.” Ian whispered into my ear and my hands went up to my face. All of this was almost too much to comprehend as Calypso continued to whimper and pace in my mind.

“Mil..don’t listen to them. I am your father..We can fix this, we can find a way to reject the mark. There has to be a way.” My dad was talking like a madman, his hand running through his peppered hair as he walked back and forth. His eyes glanced at my mark once more as he growled out angrily.

Bain did not like this one bit, he was about to lunge forward, I could see it. I quickly stepped towards him, my arms wrapping around Bain’s neck as I held him protectively. The mere idea of getting rid of my mark causing me to feel pain.

“No, I don’t want to do that…I love him, dad.” I said, pressing my face into Bain’s neck. Inhaling his scent as those tingles tickled my skin.

Just then the rogue growled jealously, stepping forward as he looked at me.

“Get the f**k away from him little wolf, you are mine..don’t you f*****g see that? You belong to me..you are the one I chose..who the moon goddess chose for me. I get to pick…I the f*****g Rogue King get to pick who my mate is and I chose you. Now get the F**K over here before I murder this prick in front of your eyes and wear his pelt as my f*****g coat.” He snarled, his harsh words surprising me as my dad didn’t even react. Did he not hear what this man was saying?

Blake quickly shifted, and walked up next to me, his hand wrapping around me protectively.

“You are delusional to think we will give our Luna up to a psycho like you.” Blake growled, and the guard quickly handed him some sweats which he slipped on.

“Your Luna?” My dad gasped, looking between me and Bain.

“Mila..is he an Alpha?” He growled, and I nodded softly, my hands still wrapped around Bain’s neck. Needing to touch him, to feel him beneath my hands as I tried my hardest not to tremble.

“Mil, I don’t think he is going to come with us.” Blake said into my ear, his hand resting on my back as he glared towards the Rogue.

I completely ignored the Rogue, his delusions almost too much to even comprehend. Hadeon began stepping forward, snarling as the other wolves began closing in on us.

“Dad..please, don’t do this.” I cried out, tears falling down my cheeks as I looked at my father. I felt like I was seeing him for the first time..like this man before me wasn’t who I thought he was.

“I won’t let them have you Mila..you belong with me…I didn’t do all of this for some Alpha to take you away.” He spat the word Alpha out, pure disgust on his face as he glared at Bain.

I knew why he felt that way..because of my mother, because of what happened and my heart shattered. I let go of Bain, causing him to panic slightly as I took a step closer to my dad.

‘He isn’t like that, it won’t be like that Dad I promise. They want you to come back with us, they all do. That’s why we are here, that’s why we came looking for you.’

I linked to him, his eyes not leaving Bain once as I continued to look at my dad.

“Please..” I begged, knowing if he refused it would be the hardest thing I would ever have to do. There was no way I could abandon my mate..and there was definitely no way I would go with that rogue. Not after hearing his messed-up delusions.

“I’m sorry Mila, but you aren’t going back with them.” Before I could even blink Lucius was now towering over me, his jaw snapping out as he gripped my arm, pulling me roughly, trying to drag me away. Bain was on him in a second, pain shot through me as Lucius held me possessively, refusing to let go.

“F**k Mila!” Blake yelled out, rushing forward, his arms reaching for me.

Suddenly more wolves howled in the distance, but these weren’t rogues, they were our own. Four more wolves ran up, attacking the rogues quickly as they made their way through them. Tristan’s wolf, Hadeon, lunged toward the Rogue King and made quick work to pin him down, knocking him out as my eyes looked around wildly.

‘Dad, please.’

My body felt weak as I linked to my dad, begging him not to do this.

‘Your mate ruined everything..everything! You don’t belong with them..you are ours, only ours.’

Lucius growled and I whimpered, causing Bain to slam my dad down, his grip now loosening as my body went limp. My shoulder bleeding profusely as Blake pulled me aside, cradling me in his arms. I heard snarls and growls, Calypso whimpering in my mind as chaos erupted around us.

Ian rushed over, his eyes wide as he looked down at me.

“I’m okay, I’m sorry..please just help Rowan..please don’t let him get hurt.” I begged, and Ian ignored my pleas as he had Blake hold a cloth down on my shoulder and began rummaging through his first aid bag.

I knew how strong my dad was, how powerful and cunning. I feared for my mate’s life much more than my own.

“He ran off towards the woods.” Blake said quickly and sadness filled me, I turned my head to the side as I felt completely ashamed.

‘I will get you back Mila, even if I have to burn all of Black Stone down to do it. I will get you back and kill that f*****g Mate of yours in the process.’

My dad linked, causing a choked sob to leave me as he quickly cut the line. I turned into Blake, gripping him tightly as he held onto me protectively.

Rowan rushed over to me now, he shifted back and lifted me up, holding me against his chest. I couldn’t say a word..guilt filling me as I nuzzled into him, trying to hold my sobs in.

“It’s okay, you’re going to be okay.” His voice was full of panic. The bleeding slowing now, but the bite mark throbbing in pain. There was an aching feeling in my chest..the pain of what my father had done..that was what hurt the most..how could he..

“I’m sorry.” I choked out, holding onto my mate as that guilt crashed through me. He stood up now, carrying me as he rocked me in his arms gently.
