Chapter 13
Katina's POV
It had been a few days since Silas kissed me and lifted the ban preventing the from moving around the house.
A few days of him ignoring my existence and walking past ine like I meant nothing to him.
Well, maybe I did mean nothing. He had said that over and over to my face.
But for some reason, his ignoring me made me feel angry. Like how dare he ignore me?
My feelings for Silas had changed from hatred to slight annoyance and lust and all it took was a single kiss for that to happen.
But it didn't help that I was asked to ignore the best kiss of my life which also happens to be my first kiss
And it also didn't happen that he kept walking past me and ignoring my existence in the hallways and wherever we saw.
There was this invisible barrier between us and it was put up by him.
"Fuck it!" I cussed out loud, pulling my pillow over my face and screaming.
All I've been doing was thinking about Silas because there wasn't anything else to do.
I could walk around the house and I was allowed into the library and the game room.
But that got boring after a while.
I wonder what my father would think when he found out that I was attracted to a man who was more than twice my age and who also happened to be my uncle and his arch-enemy.
I had no idea what my father could have done to make his brother-in-law hate him, but 1 figured it happened after the death of my aunt
The rest of Silas' family was not okay with me walking amongst them, and they didn't hide that
I didn't miss the constant jabs and insults they sent my way, and it was quite obvious that they hated my father just as much as Silas did.
Silas didn't stop them from talking, but I knew he had something to do with the fact they hadn't hit me before.
I wanted to scream and tell them that I wasn't my father and whatever he did to them wasn't my fault
But I couldn't
My father always tried to make life hell for me, and he seemed to be doing that right now too.
Someone knocked on my door and it was pushed open a few seconds later.
I pushed the pillow away from my face, watching the guard who walked into my room.
He looked around my room before his eyes fell on me. His face held no emotions, his eyes a soulless dark pit.
Dinner. Come downstairs."
Those were the only words he said before turning around and walking off.
I dreaded mealtime because! had to come down and eat with them. Discovering that more than fifty people in the malia stayed in this house was not encouraging. Having more than twenty-five pairs of eyes digging holes into you every time you eat was not exactly encouraging, but I had no choice but to put up with it.
Sighing, I pushed up from the bed and put on my Crocs
The sooner I got to eat, the faster I could leave there.
I hated just sitting around the house and doing nothing; my day was a continuous boring loop. But I didn't have a choice at
the moment.
"Let's go," I said to the man standing outside, walking past him. could feel his eyes drilling holes at the back of my head and I wanted to raise my middle fingers at him, But I didn't.
Stopping in front of the closed doors, I let out a deep breath. The moment I pushed these doors open, I would be attracting the attention of everyone else. Okay, let's do this!
I pushed the doors open and everyone stopped and looked at me. Their eyes followed my every movement as I walked into the room with my head up.
Like every other day, I walked towards Silas, heading for my spot which was right next to him.
I stopped in my tracks when I found a woman sitting right next to him, a frown settling on my face.
I haven't seen her here before.
Silas ignored me who was standing right next to them, focusing on his food.
"Does she think she deserves a chance next to the boss?" Someone laughed loudly, making the others laugh along
Biting the inside of my cheek, I looked around the table for an empty seat but there wasn't one.
Both Silas and the woman paid no attention to me and my checks burned up in embarrassment
I wouldn't have been here if he hadn't made it necessary for me to always come for my meals. "Silas, you have a little something"
I watched in shock and horror as she pulled Silas to herself, kissing him on his lips.
What seemed to be a gentle peck turned into a French kiss, both of them having no regard for the people at the table.
My jaw dropped as I watched them, barely able to take my eyes off. For some reason, watching them do this made. My heart burns.
But worst of all, it made me angry.
Finally, they broke away, and Silas went back to his food. The woman turned to me with a smug smile on her face.
She did it on purpose,
Obviously.
Go ahead and say it was a mistake. Go ahead and tell her to forget about it.
I urged him in my mind, standing foolishly at a spot.

When Silas didn't turn to me after a few minutes, I turned away and stormed off. The mocking laughter from the people behind me followed me as I pushed through the door, letting it slam shut as I stormed to my room. I can't believe Silas just did that. But why did I care? I didn't care!
He could kiss whoever he wanted to kiss for all I carril, I would be bothered about it in any way.
But that was an obvious fie

More bothered than I was supposed to be about this.
And I hated this
My eyes fell on the guard in front of me, a smile playing on my lips. He was the only one standing here, making it easier for me to do what I wanted
Who said Silas was the only one who could kiss others!
"What's your name?" I asked him, stepping towards him.
I've seen the way he looks at me and I knew he was attracted to me.
"Rodriguez." He answered, his eyes raking over my features
He licked his lips, staring at my chest.
I knew it.
"I want something from you, would you be able to give it to me I tried my best to sound sultry but failed miserably.
"It depends," Rodriguez answered, shrugging his shoulders. He didn't seem to mind the way I sounded.
Smirking, I pulled Rodriguez to me, smashing my lips against his.
I didn't want to keep talking and just wanted to go for the kiss.
Rodriguez wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer as he deepened the kiss.
The kiss was sloppy and wet. And it made me feel disgusted. Silas kiss played over and over in my mind, and I realized that it was just what I wanted.
I was just about to push him away when he got pulled away from me.
Silas stood in front of me, his nose flaring as he glared at me.
"What is wrong with you?" he growled.
"What is wrong with me?! What is wrong with you!?" I screeched back at him angrily. "You're the one that interrupted me, not the other way around,"
I didn't want to add that I was just about to push the m man away.
"Do you think I'd let you just kiss another man?" Sikas scowled at me. He sounded as if he found my little antics annoying.
"Well, last I checked, you don't own me, and I can damn well kiss whoever I want."
I screamed when Rodriguez fell to the floor dead, a bullet wound on his head.
1 turned to Silas staring at him with wide eyes. Silas stared me down unapologetically, his gun pointed at the spot where Rodriguez stood previously.
"ARE YOU INSANE?" I screamed. My frustration grew with each passing second.
First, he kissed another woman, then he claimed that he owned the, and he even killed one of his men.
"You're clowning if you think I don't own your ass. From the top of your empty skull, down to your fat, and then to your toes. I oven every inch of you Katrina. And if all it takes is for me to carve my name into every inch of your pretty skin, then so be it," Silas growled, and I knew he was serious, This is unbelievable. I scoffed, shaking my head.
"You are not my owner. I'm not your pet!" I glared at him furiously, my blood boiling. "Do you see the word pet written on my forehead?!"
Silas looked at the dead body on the floor. Deeping his finger in his blood, he raised his hands with a scowl on his face and wrote the word 'PET on my forehead in bold letters.
"Are you happy now?" He hissed at me.
My words choked in my throat and I was barely able to form a coherent sentence.
Let's not start with the fact that he had stained my forehead with someone's blood.
I turned around to storm off; if I stayed there for much longer, was going to murder someone.
I yelped in surprise when Dante turned me around, grabbing my neck.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked murderously
"What do you think? I'm on my way to kiss every damn man in this building," I said, staring up at him rebelliously
"If you wanted a throne of corpses, you could have just asked,"
