The Mafia’s Third Wife: Between The Devil’s Triangle

Make Things Right

Chapter 22 Make Things Right

Back at the Sanchez house, Raven and Alfredo were discussing the next plan of action to save her father.

“So what’s your plan Alfredo? We don’t have much time as you know that Ramos Escobar is not a patient bird. He might try to kill my father before we can come up with a plan to rescue him.” Raven said.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

“I have an idea, but I don’t think you will like the idea.” He said.

“What’s…. the idea? Atleast I need to hear it first to make a decision.” She said.

“The idea I have is that we return you back to Ramos so that you get closer to Ramos and gain his trust.” Alfredo revealed.

“Omg face.”

“You want me to do what!” Raven yelled in surprise still trying to understand what Alfredo’s idea is.

“We need you to pretend that you want to get to know Ramos better, through conversation or shared interest.”

“Oh my God!”

“You want me to get to know that devil after what he almost did to my father and me?” She said.

“Not get to know him, but pretend that you want to get to know him so that he could trust you enough to reveal things and then you can betray him and get your father out of there and then you leave the rest to us.” Alfredo said.

“I thought you were a reasonable son of a bitch but now I realized that you are an asshole who is ready to use any means necessary to get what you want!” Raven yelled.

“It’s not what you think Raven. I’m doing this to help you and your father. It’s hard for me too. I don’t want you to go, but we are out of options here.” Alfredo said.

“So you want me to be a pretend lover and do everything possible for him to trust me and then I will have my revenge for what he did to me is that it?” Raven said.

“Yes.”

“I thought you were a reasonable person, but it seems like I was wrong,” Raven yelled. “You’re willing to use any means necessary to get what you want, even if it means hurting other people in the process. And now you want me to play along with your twisted plan?”

Alfredo sighed, “It’s not what you think, Raven. I know this is hard, but I’m doing this for your sake, and for your father’s. We don’t have any other options.

“No, you’re not doing this for us. You’re doing this for yourself and your own agenda,” Raven said, her voice cold and sharp.

“You want me to be a pawn in your game, to manipulate a man who has already done so much harm to me.

And you expect me to be okay with that? You’re being incredibly selfish and callous, and I can’t believe you’d ask this of me.”

Alfredo winced, “I know I’m asking a lot, but please, try to understand my position.

“How can you expect me to understand your position when you’re asking me to do something so unethical?” Raven said, her anger mounting.

“I’m not going to be a part of this scheme, I won’t be your pawn. I deserve better than that.”

“Please, Raven, just hear me out,” Alfredo pleaded. “You know I wouldn’t ask this of you if I didn’t think it was absolutely necessary.

I need your help, and I promise I’ll do everything I can to protect you. I would never let any harm come to you.”

Raven stood there, silent for a moment. She looked at Alfredo, studying his face, trying to gauge his sincerity.

“I can’t believe you’re actually asking me to do this,” she said finally. “You know how much this man has hurt me, how much he’s taken from me.

And now you want me to put myself in his path again, to let him use me and take advantage of me all over again?”

“I know, I know,” Alfredo said, his voice softening. “But you have to understand, this is bigger than just you and him.

“That doesn’t make it okay,” Raven said, her voice firm.

“Even if there are other people at stake, I can’t just put my own well-being on the line for this.

I’m not some pawn to be used and discarded when you’re done with me. I’m a person with feelings and a life of my own.”

Alfredo looked at her, his expression pleading. “Please, I’m not trying to hurt you. I just need your help.

You’re the only one who can do this, the only one who knows him well enough to pull it off.”

“I want to save my father very much, but… asking me to go back there and let him use me as he wants is just too much….” Raven said.

“I understand, and I’m not trying to force you to do anything,” Alfredo said, his voice softening.

“But I’m afraid that if you don’t help me, I won’t be able to save your father. And that’s something I just can’t live with.”

“So you’re putting all of the pressure on me, making me feel responsible for his life?” Raven asked, her voice rising again. “That’s not fair, it’s too much to ask.”

“You know, I have never lived my life the way I wanted, because I had to take care of my father… and the honest truth is that my father got himself into this mess and I have been cleaning it up for way too long.” Raven expressed.

“I’ve been a good daughter to my father and I love my father and I want to save him. Heck I agreed to marry that jerk to save him from getting eaten when I knew that Ramos was using him to get me.

I wouldn’t be in this mess if it wasn’t for my father, but I didn’t complain but decided to take care of everything, but letting that son of a bitch take advantage of me to gain his trust and all so I could use that to destroy him is just too much.”

“I know you’ve done a lot for your father, and I’m grateful for everything you’ve done,” Alfredo said, his words slow and careful.

“I’m not trying to make you feel guilty or responsible for any of this. But please, understand that this is the only way to stop him, to get him out of your life for good. I know it’s a lot to ask, but it’s the only way to end this.”

Raven looked at Alfredo, her expression torn between anger and understanding.

“I’m sorry for putting you in this position,” Alfredo said, his voice filled with remorse.

“I know it’s not fair, and I know it’s asking a lot of you. But I also know that you’re the only one who can do this. Please, think about it.

I just want to help you and your father, to make things right again.”

Raven felt a knot in her stomach as she considered Alfredo’s words. She knew that he was right, that this was the only way to save her father.

“I need some time to think about this,” she said, her voice quiet and shaky.

“I can’t just make a decision like this on the spot, I need to process everything and figure out what’s best for me and for my father.”

Alfredo nodded, his expression serious.

“Of course, I understand. I won’t pressure you, and I’ll give you all the time you need. But please, know that I’m here for you, and I’ll help you in any way I can.”

“Thank you,” Raven said, taking a deep breath. She felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her, the weight of everything that had happened in the past few months finally catching up to her.

“I think I just need some time to rest and clear my head. Can we talk about this again tomorrow?”

“Of course,” Alfredo said, his voice gentle. “I’ll be here whenever you’re ready. Just take care of yourself, okay?”

“I will,” Raven said, giving him a weak smile. “Thank you for being so understanding. I know this isn’t easy for you either.”

“It’s not,” Alfredo admitted. “But I’ll do whatever it takes to help you. You’re not alone in this, I promise.”

They exchanged a long, knowing look, their eyes filled with trust and understanding. In that moment, Raven felt a sense of peace settle over her.

She knew she had someone in her corner, someone who would stand by her no matter what. And that gave her the strength to face whatever came next…..
