The Proud Boss Lady.

Chapter 24: 24

Chapter 24: 24

“Are you sure you want to do this?' Nikki and Nicolette asked at the same time. Nichole had decided to

relocate to South Carolina, Greenville to be precised to take over the other branch of the family

business.

“Yes, I am. I'm tired of sitting around doing nothing while you people work and then live your best lives.

I don't have no one to take to, no one to go out with and have fun. It's best I leave and start afresh in a

new environment. Please don't talk me out of it, especially you Nicolette." She said with finality in her

voice.

“What of me can I?" Jesse asked behind her. Their relationship hadn't been a good one since that day.

“You are the last person I'd listen to Jesse, my mind is made up. I am leaving, Jersey City. I'm sorry but

I have to do this for me. I've been doing and giving my support to you guys for a long time. It's time I

became selfish for once and do me. Please, no one should talk me out of it.'" She added walking out.

“Are you guys going to say nothing?' Jesse spoke up.

“Of course, you can't keep her got your selfish gains, Jesse, You can't keep trying to take advantage of

her, let her go if you claim to love her," Nicolette advised.

“Hey, Miguel, I am at the salon can you please come around to see how the renovation is going?" Jess

asked through the phone.

“Don't worry, I'm just a few blocks away from the salon, I'd be there in a few." He said to her.

“Okay then." She added dropping the call as she entered the shop to see how the work was going.

“Good job going on there." He said startling Jess as he entered the salon.

“Thank you, Miguel. I hope it's going how you wanted it. No problem or issues whatsoever?" She

inquired.

“Everything is fine, I'm glad you got to manage it and no one else." He smiled at her. She hadn't seen

his full smile before. It was either half a smile or a smirk.

"You have a nice smile." She found herself saying.

“Thank you." He added.

“Excuse you?" Soraya said rudely as a man bumped into her knocking her bags down. He was about

getting it for her as she stopped him from getting them and got them herself.

“Im sorry, I wasn't watching." He voiced out. Soraya was mesmerized by the voice she heard. It was

the most huskiest and sexiest voice she had ever heard.

“It's fine, I am Soraya by the way and you?" She asked the young man. He had a chiselled face and his

hair was faded at the bottom. He had the rarest shade of green eyes and very white teeth. He was

about 6'9 tall and she didn't look so short standing near him as she was quite tall for a woman's height.

“Noah, nice to meet you, Soraya." He smiled at her.

“The pleasure is mine. Would, you em care for a cup of coffee if you're not in a hurry?" She tried to

shoot her shot.

“I would love to but not today, I am actually in a hurry. Here's my card, call me when you want us to

have coffee, I would be there." He dashed off waving her.

Road to forgetting Zed Velasquez! She exclaimed to herself as she walked off towards her hotel room.

“Thanks, mom, how did you know I love pancakes so much?" Hailey asked as she sat at the table for

breakfast.

“When you were little, I used to make them for you before work whiskey me out of your life," Meg

added.

“Thanks, mom," She said munching on them as she sipped her hot chocolate.

“You welcome. Um, do you have plans after school? " She asked her daughter.

“No, no I don't any problem?" Hailey raised her eyebrows.

“Well um, I got tickets for you, Keith, Sunny and Lex for the concert tonight." She winked at her.

“Mom, how did you know about Lex and which concert is that?" She turned her concentration to her.

“ I did my own findings about him and there's a BTS concert in town from today, Missy." She told

Hailey's favourite boy band was the BTS and she was a die-hard fan. But how did her mom get to know

that? She wondered. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

That wasn't on get mind to worry about. She was excited about the concert.

“Thanks, mom! I would see you after school." She stepped out of the house happily as she headed to

the garage for her car. She couldn't wait to break the news to Sunny.

Maybe letting her in wasn't such a bad idea. Hailey thought to herself as she zoomed off.

Nicolette and Nikki stood at the airport as they bid Nichole goodbye. She had checked in and her flight

number had been called. She waved them goodbye and then headed to the plane. She felt lighter and

at peace. For a long while, she had been involved with issues concerning others, helping them get past

some issues and forgot to take care of herself. Maybe relocating to Italy was a good idea. She could

start life afresh and meet with new people.

People who would care for her and love her, for who and what she was. Maybe she could find love, she

could love and be loved. Not fall in love with someone who only noticed her when he wanted sex.

Aman who would be there for her in the good and bad moments of life. Not an opportunist or a gold

digger.

Goodbye Jersey City, we would meet someday soon. Perhaps when I figure out life and it's lessons. I'm

thankful for the lessons life taught me here. To the friends I made, both toxic and faithful. I learnt a lot

from them. Well, let's see what Italy also has in store for Nichole. She thought to herself as she drifted

off to sleep.

A few hours later, the plane had landed in Milan, Italy. Nichole got off the plane and then headed inside

the airport to get her luggage and also to wait for her cousin, Thelma to pick her up.

Let's do this. She said to herself walking in.
