Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death

Chapter 578

Shannon wore a beautiful dress, and she looked younger than usual. When she saw Noah after entering the ward, she immediately thought about Xavier when he was younger. "It's me, Noah, your grandma."

She bent down and wanted to hug Noah. However, he avoided her. "You've made a mistake, old lady. I'm not your grandson."

Shannon was stunned. It was her first time being a grandmother, and she didn't know what to do at all.

She immediately told her men to bring the gifts to him. "Here, Noah. I bought all of these for you."

When Noah saw the gifts, he noticed they were all the latest toys and games. There were even luxurious action figures, and he could tell the gifts weren't cheap at all.

He figured Shannon was quite generous and wealthy. At the very least, she was being more generous than Yara. Not only that, but she was better at pretending to be a kind person.

"I'm sorry, old lady. My mom taught me not to take anything from strangers."

Shannon felt hurt when she heard him calling her a stranger. "Noah, I'm not a stranger. You'll understand in the future. You can take these. It'll be fine."Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

If it were any other kid, she would've been infuriated after being called an old lady. However, she was too happy to talk to her own grandson.

Noah yawned and said, "No, thanks. I don't know you at all, and you must've gotten the wrong person. I'm going to rest now, so goodbye."

Shannon was stunned again. She wondered why he wasn't excited about the gifts at all. After all, from what she understood, all kids liked gifts like these. She didn't know what else she could do to coax him. Noah was exactly like Xavier when he was young.

"What can I do to make you believe I'm your grandma?" she gently asked.

Noah said seriously, "I'll never believe it, old lady. That's because I already have a grandma."

Shannon was confused, and she wondered who would dare to pretend to be Xavier's mother. She thought about it and figured he might be talking about Yara. With that thought in mind, she felt better. "Noah, I'm your paternal grandmother, and your mom is my daughter-in-law." She didn't know if he understood any of those words.

Noah looked at her in confusion and asked, "Really?"

"That's right!"

"But if you're my grandma, then why haven't I seen you before?"

Shannon's heart skipped a beat. She loved Noah a lot. "That was because I never knew you existed before."

As she spoke, she reached out to grab his hand. However, he avoided her again, and her hand froze in midair.

"Noah, can you chat with me for a moment?"

"Sure." Noah figured he might as well hear what she had to say since she was already there.

Shannon asked where he had been staying previously.

"I lived in a rented apartment with Mom."

In Shannon's eyes, people who lived in rented apartments had a tough life, and she started feeling bad for Noah. "How did you live for the past few years?"

Noah thought about it and lied, "When Mom went to work, I would stay at Grandma's house."

That was actually Zachary's life. Since Noah was sick, he spent most of his time in the hospital.

"Which grandma?" Shannon thought it was weird because there was no way he would be talking about Yara She knew how badly Yara treated

Yvette and there was no way the latter would help Yvette take care of Noah.

"Viola."

Shannon had told her men to look into their personal lives before and found out that Viola was the nanny who took care of Yvette in the past. She couldn't believe Yvette would tell the kids to call Viola their grandma.

"Then, were you happy?"

"Of course! My life was great, and it Myli was certainly better than being here." After he said that, he added,

"Can you tell Mr. Xavier to let me go

now? My dad will give as much ransom money as he wants
