Chapter 114
Half an hour later, Kelly arrived at the women's dorm.
Brianna opened the door and said abruptly, "I don't work at Lewis Group anymore, and you can't use me any longer. What do you want, Ms. Harrison?"
Brianna felt that she and Kelly were the same kind of people. When things happened, they would push the blame to someone else and use someone else as their scapegoat. She wasn't dumb enough to believe that Kelly was really here to apologize to her. Kelly walked in and closed the door. She looked around the cramped dorm and laughed. She said, "Your dorm may be small, but it's clean and cozy."
Brianna frowned. "Get to the point! I'm not in the mood to beat around the bush with you!"
She had been polite to Kelly previously because she was an employee at Lewis Group. Now that she had been fired, there was no reason to flatter Kelly any longer.
Kelly walked over and handed a bag to her. "I'm here to apologize sincerely to you. I didn't think you'd lose your job because of a casual comment from me.
"I feel really uneasy. Luckily, nothing happened to Tiffany that night. If something had gone wrong, I wouldn't even know how to face you."
Brianna's gaze swept over the bag, and the look in her eyes softened. "What is this?"
"The newest item of this season from M.C. I asked a friend to buy it for me. Think of it as my apology." Kelly smiled generously.
"You're giving it to me?" Brianna took it. There was a beautiful gift box inside the bag. It contained a makeup set. "This probably cost over ten thousand, right?"
"About 16 thousand." Kelly flipped her hair over her shoulder and said, "It's not that expensive of a gift for a friend."
"A friend?" Brianna was startled. She took the gift box, and the angry look on her face turned into a smile. She even took Kelly's hand.
"That's right. We're friends," she said. "Kelly, I just had a fight with my boyfriend, and I'm in a bad mood. I might have been a little rude just now. Please, don't mind it."
Kelly smiled. "I won't. Friends wouldn't get angry over something so trivial."
"Can I open it to have a look?" Brianna could hardly wait. She was touching the box reverently, and her eyes were shining.
She had never had anything so expensive. 16 thousand dollars! The best skincare products that she had received from William only cost a few hundred. The gift that Kelly had given her was an absolute treasure. "Of course. It's for you. If you want to look at it or use it, be my guest," Kelly said. She sat down beside Brianna.
Brianna opened the gift box and
took out the items inside. She scrutinized each one, opened all of them and sniffed them. She put them all back carefully, looking delighted.
Kelly's eyes alighted on the bed near the balcony, and she asked casually, "Does anyone else live in your dormitory?"
Brianna didn't even look up. "That's Tiffany's bed."
"Tiffany lives here too?"
"Yeah," Brianna answered carelessly.
She took out the perfume and carefully sprayed it on her wrist. After taking a sniff, she exclaimed, "This is my favorite rose scent! Kelly, I love this gift you got me."
She had lost a job, but she'd gotten such a huge gift in return. She hadn't made a loss at all.
"As long as you like it." Kelly smiled, but she looked at the bathroom door. "Brianna, can I use your bathroom?"
"Of course. Go ahead." Brianna was immersed in her delight. She would've said yes to any request that Kelly made at that moment.
When Kelly entered the bathroom,
Brianna took out her phone and checked the authenticity of the makeup she'd gotten. She also went
to the official website to check the
price.
It really was about 16 thousand!
She could get at least 10 thousand if she sold it.
IMS
Brianna grinned widely and took a photo of it at once. She edited the photo and added filters, then posted it on all her social media platforms.
Kelly was not wasting her time in the bathroom. She took out her phone and took a photo of all the skincare products and shower gels in the bathroom. She searched each one on the Internet. NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.
Kelly was confused by the results. "Are they really this cheap?"
The perfume she used cost tens of thousands of dollars, but even that hadn't been able to attract Vincent. Was Tiffany able to attract him with these cheap goods? Oh, the irony!
