Whispers Of Betrayal (Anastasia and Alastor)

Chapter 42

Chapter 42

Back at Alastor’s company, as soon as Anastasia entered the company, she was stopped by the receptionist. “Sorry, Mrs. Lopez. Mr. Lopez said you are not allowed in.”

Standing still. Anastasia found herself having difficulty breathing.

She contemplated, “Has Alastor grown so distrustful of me? A divorce really shows one’s true character. Is Alastor planning to have a complete falling-out with me?”

“Mrs. Lopez.”

Seeing that Anastasia insisted on walking into the company, the receptionist called the security guard over nervously.

“Thave Alastor’s baby in my belly. If anything happens to the baby, you guys will bear responsibility for it.” Anastasia spoke in a deep voice. She knew the baby wouldn’t survive at all, but now she had to use it as leverage.

“Mrs. Lopez, please don’t make things difficult for us. The security guard was in a dilemma.

Anastasia ignored him, pushed him away, and went straight into the elevator.

She wanted to see what Alastor was trying to do.

“Alastor, she made a mistake first. Why do you have to leave a marriage with nothing?”

Anastasia pushed open the door of Alastor’s office and saw Felicia pounce on Alastor.

Alastor’s expression darkened. It was unclear if he was angry. However, it was obvious that the two were unscrupulous.

Anastasia took an ambiguous photo of them with her phone. She leaned against the door with a pale face. “You guys can’t wait another day?”

Anastasia’s voice was slightly hoarse, and she tried to make herself look less pathetic.

Felicia snorted and directly sat on Alastor’s lap, hugging him. “There’s no such thing as first come, first served in romance. Morcover, I’m actually the one who appeared first. When I got together with Alastor, we were still teenagers deeply in love. You are just a latecomer.”

Anastasia didn’t say anything, as she thought, “Does the romance in one’s youth really wield such profound influence?”

With Alastor’s personality, he wouldn’t have done this openly if he didn’t love Felicia deeply.

“Grandma called me and asked us to go home for dinner tonight.” Anastasia’s voice was calm as if she didn’t feel anything.

Alastor pushed Felicia away and replied in a deep voice, ‘Got it.”

Andrea was probably the only person Alastor truly cared about.

Since Christian and his lover moved to Huxville, Alastor grew up with his grandparents.

After Maverick died, Alastor only listened to his grandmother, and he didn’t have a close relationship with his mother.

“Do you want to bring Felicia with you?” Anastasia asked generously with a faint smile. However, her words were ironic.

She was suggesting to bring the mistress to see Andrea.

“Anastasia, don’t go too far.” As expected, Alastor’s expression changed as he thought Anastasia was threatening him.

In the Lopez family, no one acknowledged Anastasia’s identity. Only Andrea treated Anastasia well.

Alastor also cared about Andrea the most.

“My and Felicia’s babies are all Grandma Andrea’s great-grandchildren. It’s good for them to meet the elders, isn’t it?” Anastasia sat on the couch to hide her shaky legs.

Alastor frowned and walked to Anastasia. “Anastasia, Grandma is in poor health. You’d better not say anything before the divorce is finalized.*

Anastasia smiled. “Are you seared now? Didn’t the security guards downstairs prevent me from entering the company?”

Alastor was stunned and turned to look at Felicia instinctively.

Felicia looked guilty and lowered her head without saying anything.

Anastasia laughed sarcastically. Even if Felicia wanted to do this, she would need Alastor’s support.

Alastor didn’t say anything. He just glanced at the time and motioned Anastasia to go home.

They would go to Andrea’s place for dinner every Friday night. It was their custom as long as they weren’t on a business trip or meeting.

As the both of them walked out of the elevator, Alastor asked, “You didn’t drive?” Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

Anastasia sneered. “I came by taxi. Don’t you drive?”

Alastor hesitated for a moment as if deliberately hiding something.

“Do we need to call a taxi?” Anastasia asked kindly.

Alastor didn’t say anything and turned around to enter the parking lot.

Anastasia followed Alastor and wondered what was in his car.

“Let me clean the car first.” Alastor didn’t want Anastasia to get close to the car.

“Are you guys playing so wildly? You guys couldn’t even control yourselves in the car? Car play…” Anastasia followed after him. Even though she knew she would get hurt from seeing it, she still wanted to see what was in the car stubbornly.

Alastor frowned and shot Anastasia a meaningful look.

Anastasia had been too demure and sensible since she married him. She would never say such unrestrained words before.

“Huh…” As Anastasia leaned against the front passenger’s door, she felt like she had been stabbed through her heart.

Felicia couldn’t wait any longer and had pasted a sticker on the passenger seat to signify that it was her personal seat.

Anastasia hadn’t divorced Alastor yet.

Besides, Felicia’s personal belongings, lipstick, sunglasses, and hair tie were on the passenger seat. There was even a whole box of unopened condoms.
