Chapter 31 Addicted to Acting
It was Ronan Vega’s turn and he didn’t know how to do it.
If Freya had been rejecting him, Ronan would still feel normal. Now she not only cooperated, but also played exciting games, which was surprising.
“Is it true or not?” Ronan Vega asked with both doubt and belief.
“I’ve been tied up like this by you, what else can I do?” Freya tried her best to make her expression look relaxed and happy.
Ronan Vega stared at her for several seconds. Perhaps out of curiosity, he picked up her bag. And he did find pills from inside.
Ronan Vega held it in his hand and looked at the words on top, which read Viagra.
Freya smiled and said, “I didn’t deceive you, did I?”
“Why do you carry this kind of thing with you?” Ronan frowned tightly.
The impression that Freya gave was very upright, and her appearance was also of the pure and innocent type. Could it be that she also has a wild side?!
“Do you think I’m a good woman? With you, I’ve just been playing hard to get. Hurry up and eat, so we can have some fun!” Freya smirked, looking beautiful with an even more stunning smile.
Ronan Vega looked at her, feeling excited, and poured out a pill to take.
Freya said, “Eat one more.”
“Are you this wild?” Ronan Vega smirked, but he still dropped another pill into his hand and swallowed it.
He was also a tough guy who could down red wine easily. Freya’s eyes were filled with coldness, but she still smiled on her face. She stared at him, counting down in her heart.
“The pills are a bit strong, I feel a little dizzy…” Ronan Vega’s body felt weak and he sat down on the bed. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
Soon, he realized something was wrong. Shouldn’t the pills make him more energetic and powerful?
Why did he feel so weak and limp?
“This is not an aphrodisiac!” He glared angrily at Freya, “What kind of medicine is this?”
Freya responded coldly, “Didn’t you say things happen in threes? Did you fall again?”
Ronan Vega really wanted to kill this woman with a knife right away!
“Freya, you remember this…” Before he could finish his cruel words, the person completely lost consciousness and fell into a coma.
Freya glanced at him and confirmed that he was unconscious, then moved her body to retrieve her phone from her bag. This pills were prepared during the last social gathering with Maddox. She was afraid that the other party would be detrimental to her, so she prepared the medicine in a Viagra box on purpose. If anyone saw these, they wouldn’t know they were a knockout pills. But last time, the result was Elijah, so the pills weren’t used.
Freya picked up her phone and immediately dialed Orion Russo’s number. Before the phone was answered, she heard some movement at the door. Amidst numerous footsteps, accompanied by the sound of things falling and wailing, the door was kicked open!
She looked up and saw Elijah’s face full of gloom.
He stood under the spotlight, with a commanding presence. His body projected a sense of darkness and gloom. At the moment she saw him, Freya felt like she had caught a lifesaving straw and was overjoyed, “Why did you come?”
Elijah didn’t respond, stepped over and took off the rope from her body. Freya didn’t go back, and he thought the woman had gone to meet a man for a date. He checked it out and found out that she had been taken away by Ronan Vega. He traced all the way here, using a lot of connections. He was afraid of being late and letting Ronan Vega succeed.
Soon, he noticed the medicine bottle lying on the table, with its glaring words that made his already darkened face even more grim. Freya quickly explained, “That was a sedative, which is why Ronan Vega passed out.”
She didn’t want him to misunderstand.
“Did you do that?” Elijah asked.
Freya nodded.
Elijah raised his eyebrows and almost said, good job.
This woman impressed him since she was tied up and could knock people out.
He thought to himself, “No wonder she’s a doctor. There are many ways for her to achieve it!”
He checked Freya, who appeared to be completely unharmed and her clothes intact. However, his anger didn’t dissipate and he ordered Xander to have Ronan Vega tied up.
Xander immediately instructed someone to take action.
Soon Ronan Vega was tied up tightly.
Elijah asked Freya, “Are you waiting here or in the car outside for me?”
Freya had already figured out what he wanted to do to Ronan Vega, violent scenes that she was not interested in.
“I’ll go out first,” she said, turning around and walking towards the door. She walked slowly, carefully protecting her stomach.
Her stomach felt a little uncomfortable. She was a doctor, and she knew the signs of miscarriage. Her face turned pale.
Elijah saw something was wrong with her and asked, “Are you hurt?”
Freya tried to make herself look lively and shook her head, “No.”
As she walked out of the room, her face no longer held a tense expression. If she couldn’t keep her children, she would definitely not let Liora Valentine go!
Passing through the living room, Freya saw the knocked-out bodyguard. These were all people that Freya had met and they were all associated with Ronan Vega. It was Ronan Vega’s voice, and it sounded more and more miserable with each passing moment. Freya didn’t have time to think about what Elijah had done to him. She lay half-reclined, trying to rest without making any sudden movements.
Ronan Vega’s screams continued for an hour before Elijah finally emerged from the room where he had been torturing him. He got into his car, with Xander still inside the house.
Freya couldn’t quite understand Elijah’s actions. Wasn’t it he who had given her away to Ronan Vega? Why was he angry now?
“Why are you so angry?” Freya hesitated for a moment before asking curiously.
Elijah felt a pang in his heart when he realized how crazy with worry he’d been when she was taken by Ronan Vega. The fear and concern were enough to consume him whole, but as a proud man, there was no way that he could admit it or even say that he cared about her safety.
“Although you are my wife in name only, you are still my wife,” Elijah said firmly. “I told you before that if anyone ever defiled you I would be disgusted.”
Freya pulled at her lips and laughed self-deprecatingly; she’d briefly thought that maybe Elijah liked her enough to get so angry on her behalf – but she knew better than that now.
How could someone like him ever be interested in someone like her?
She closed her eyes wearily and rested until she fell asleep without realizing it. When she woke up again, she found herself lying on her own bed alone in the room. She rubbed at the temples of forehead wondering how exactly did they get here last night after being in the car with Elijah earlier?
“Madam,” Linda knocked on the door cheerfully.”Breakfast is ready! Come down quickly!”
Freya lifted the quilt and asked seemingly unintentionally, “How did I get upstairs last night?”
“Mr Silverton brought you up.” Linda’s eyes were ambiguous, “Have you reconciled with each other?”
Freya blinked, at a loss for words.
“I see that you two seem to be getting along well lately. It’s rare for Mr Silverton to be so patient with someone, and you are the first one.” Linda said with a smile.
Freya didn’t take it seriously, thinking that maybe he was so kind-hearted because he saw that she was almost bullied by Ronan Vega.
“I’m hungry,” Freya said simply as all thoughts of their relationship faded away from mind after having slept soundly through most of the night without any pain or discomforts anymore.
She needed food badly- good food- along with some rest too.
Downstairs Linda already had everything laid out nicely on table waiting for her.
In the morning, Elijah wasn’t there, leaving her alone. She was halfway through her meal when she received a call from a nurse. “Dr Stone, your mother is being discharged.”
“Okay, I know.” Freya replied.
She quickly finished her meal and headed out, but the driver stopped her before she could leave. “Madam, are you going out? I’ll drive you.”
Before Freya could respond, the driver explained himself. “It’s what Mr Silverton ordered.”
Freya glanced at the car behind him – a Rolls-Royce this time.
She raised an eyebrow involuntarily.
Was that man addicted to acting?
But she didn’t dwell on it and got in anyway.
“To Grace Hospital please.” She said.
She arrived at the hospital and went straight to her mother’s room. Just as she was about to push open the door, she heard Yolanda Steele’s voice inside.
“Our son is an adult now, why haven’t you divorced him yet? What’s even left in this marriage that has long since lost its meaning? You don’t still think Leo has feelings for you, do you?” Yolanda Steele let out a mocking laugh and continued, “You didn’t really think Leo forced your daughter to marry Elijah Silverton because of trouble at his company this time around?”
Freya standing outside was also stunned – it wasn’t?!
