Chapter 1380 Jasper Was Feeling Guilty

Chapter 1380 Jasper Was Feeling Guilty

As soon as the little ones got home from school, they immediately ran to the study to find Benjamin.

“Daddy, have you talked to Mommy yet?” Gavin asked, his eyes unwavering as he stared at the man with his backpack still on his shoulders.

Tim, Zachary, Oliver, Jasper, and Jesse were all staring at Benjamin without blinking an eye.

After looking at all the little ones, Benjamin replied, “I've told your mommy.”

The little ones looked at each other, then asked in unison, “Is Mommy angry?”

A hint of amusement flashed in Benjamin's eyes. “At first, she was a bit angry, but then she cooled down.”

The six little ones breathed a sigh of relief. Gavin probed further, “Did Mommy say anything?”

Benjamin gazed at him, responding in a calm voice, “What do you want her to say?”

Gavin chuckled softly, turned around, and ran off. “Let's go see Mommy!”

Zachary called out to his younger siblings to follow him. The six little ones ran up the stairs together, looking for Arissa.

“Mommy, we're back!”

Jasper plucked up his courage and shouted from a distance. The little ones were now huddled at the door.

Arissa saw them scrambling at the door over who should enter first. She couldn't help but feel exasperated and amused at the same time. “Come in one by one. Be careful not to fall!”

The little ones almost had their backpacks squeezed off their backs as they raced to the bed, their faces full of joy as they pounced on the bed.

“Mommy!”

Upon hearing the soft, tender voices of the children, Arissa felt her heart melt. “Who brought you all home?”

“It was Mr. Bailey!” Jesse said with a gleeful smile, pulling out a packet of sweets from her backpack and offering it to her.

“Mommy, Mr. Bailey bought this. It's so delicious! This one is meant for you!”

“Thank you, Sweetheart!” Arissa pinched Jesse's cheek affectionally.

The little ones had their backpacks taken off. They all clambered onto the bed and snuggled up with her for a while.

“Mommy, did Mr. Graham give you the money that Regan gave us?” Zachary asked cautiously. Gavin and the others all quieted down, looking at her with guilt.

Arissa glanced at them, noticing that none of them dared to smile anymore as they watched her cautiously.

She raised an eyebrow, chuckling. “Are you afraid I'd get angry?”

The little ones glanced at her and gave a sheepish smile.

“The money has been given to me,” she frankly told them to prevent Benjamin from being wrongfully accused.

“Mommy, then our...” Oliver started, wanting to ask for their share. Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

Arissa hummed lightly, of course understanding what the little one meant. “Let's use this money to buy gifts for the children of Rutaceae Village!”

Hearing that, the little ones were now too embarrassed to ask for it.

“Do you have any homework today?” Arissa asked, noticing that they were still holding their backpacks.

“Yes!” Tim nodded vigorously.

Arissa looked at them. “You guys should get to your homework!”

“Mommy, we want to stay with you!” Jasper looked at her with wide, innocent eyes, not showing the slightest concern about his homework.

Seeing that the children all wanted to stay here, Arissa didn't chase them away. “Then you guys can do

it here. If there's anything you don't understand, I will teach you!”

“Okay!”

The little ones were in high spirits, each taking out their homework and spreading it out on the bed.

Arissa smiled and said, “Don't do it while lying on the bed. Go do it at the coffee table and remember to sit up straight!”

“Oh!” The little ones responded, then slid off the bed, clutching their homework and backpacks. They moved over to the coffee table and gathered around it.

Arissa watched as they obediently started doing their homework and was no longer in the mood to read her novel.

She thought Tim would come to ask her for help with his homework, but only Jasper did.

“Mommy, how do you solve this?” Jasper approached, sticking beside her with his homework in hand.

Arissa smiled. “You don't know how?”

Jasper nodded slightly. “Yes, I don't know how to solve this!”

Arissa glanced at Tim, then turned her attention back to Jasper. “Tim knows how to do it. Why don't you learn from Tim? What were you doing during class?”

Jasper was feeling guilty. “Mommy, please teach me how to solve it quickly!”
