Master of his heart (Brielle and Max)

Chapter 1358

When Max suddenly showed up, Brielle was caught off guard, her cheeks turning a vivid red.

King was going out of his mind with jealousy. "Why don't you blush when you're with me? The moment Max is back, your cheeks are as red as a monkey's butt! What gives? Is Max's charm really that much greater?" King was practically drowning in his own envy.

Brielle couldn't hear King's thoughts, only feeling her cheeks grow even hotter.

"Max, you want a bite?" Brielle asked, half expecting him to decline, but Max simply nodded.

Isaac was playing with a bubble machine a few feet away, and some of the bubbles had landed on what Max was holding, clearly making it inedible.

Calling Isaac over, Brielle took the item from Max's hand and tossed it into the trash can. "Max shouldn't be holding this. It's beneath him."

Witnessing this, King's jealousy soured even further. "Talk about double standards. Is Max some kind of royalty?"

Brielle dragged Max over to a vending machine, where the attendant asked, "Sir, which shape would you like?"

After thinking for a few seconds, Max pointed at Brielle and asked, "Can you do this one?"

The attendant, taken aback for a moment and visibly flustered by the flirtatious request, soon pulled out a female character mold, its cheeks blushing as she handed it to Max. "Here you go, sir."

It didn't look much like Brielle, just a cute female character with a similar hairstyle.

Max accepted it with a polite "thank you," and paid by scanning a code.

Brielle was too embarrassed to look at him directly, catching only a glimpse of him leisurely biting into the character's cheek before she quickly averted her gaze, feeling like she was about to combust from the heat. "Max, how are you feeling? Is your body okay?" she asked, trying to change the subject.

He took her hand again, "Yeah."

"Brielle?"

"Hmm?" She turned to look at him.

The next moment, her lips were captured in a kiss, a large bubble conveniently obscuring the scene from public view.

The sweet taste spread in her mouth as her tongue was gently entwined with his.

Brielle saw sparks fly before her eyes, the world lost to her but for the colorful bubbles floating in the air and the sounds of commotion and camera shutters around them. It seemed someone had captured their kiss.

Brielle felt like she was floating, barely able to stand.

Max supported her to a nearby bench to sit and rest.novelbin

She felt overwhelmingly hot, as if fireworks were exploding in her mind one after another, leaving her unable to think straight.

It wasn't until half an hour later that Max asked, "Feeling better? What do you want to do next?"

At that moment, Brielle didn't want

to do anything but look at him. Seeing the rare tenderness on his usually indifferent face made her heart melt.

Tears welled up and rolled down her cheeks at the thought of past traumas, and she impulsively hugged him. "Max."

Patting her back gently, Max tried to soothe her. "Why are you crying?"

Between sobs, Brielle couldn't piece together her full memory, but in that moment, all she wanted was to cry in his arms.

Max found her tears somewhat

amusing, tenderly wiping them away

from her cheeks. "So, you're this teary-eyed at twenty-something, huh?"

He was intrigued by this new side of her.
