Richest Mogul 1312

Skylar thought, “Joe’s here?”

Skylar suddenly remembered Gloria mentioning Nicole’s move here when she was young. Nicole was well–known within the Clusian community and had helped many people over the

years.

For this 80th birthday celebration, many people from the Clusian community would be attending, along with some of Nicole’s family friends.

There would be quite a crowd. Fortunately, the event was held at a large mansion, almost like a castle, big enough to comfortably hold everyone.

Once Skylar stepped out of the car, she looked closely at the familiar vehicle parked nearby. The license plate confirmed it–it was Joe’s car.

She had initially thought she would have to wait a few more days to find a chance to meet him. But it looked like she would see him sooner than expected. While she had come here feeling somewhat disinterested, her mood suddenly lifted.

Security guards were stationed at the entrance, checking invitations. With such a big event, the family wanted to ensure no uninvited media or unwelcome guests snuck in. novelbin

Each invitation had a unique identifier, allowing entry only for the person it was issued to. There was no way to impersonate someone else.

Skylar handed over her invitation. Once inside, she located a staff member, introduced herself, and was discreetly guided through a side entrance into the mansion. She was brought directly

to see Nicole.

Though Nicole was a few years older than Gloria, she was in slightly better health.

“Skye, you’ve finally arrived.” Nicole greeted her warmly upon seeing Skylar. Several of Nicole’s friends were full of praise for Skylar. Nicole knew well that Skylar was an exceptionally capable young woman.

On top of that, she was also the granddaughter–in–law of one of her dearest friends. Having lived a long life, Nicole had become an expert at reading people. She could tell a person’s character with just a glance.

Skylar smiled politely and replied, “Mrs. Neal Senior.”

She then presented a gift Gloria asked her to deliver. “This is a gift from Grandma. She wanted ine to give it to you personally. Here is a gift from me as well.”

“Oh, well. Gloria is so thoughtful. And you, Skye, no need for gifts. I’m just glad to see you here,” Nicole said with a smile she couldn’t hide, clearly delighted.

No matter how old she got, Nicole still couldn’t help but retain a childlike nature. She still loved receiving gifts. What mattered most was that she cherished the gifts even more when they came from people she cared about.

After chatting with Nicole for a while, Skylar joined Nicole’s butler, Lionel Pope, on a tour of the collectibles room and explored the rest of the house.

Nearly all of Nicole’s family members were staying at the mansion, except for a few younger generations away at school.

Today, she would be touring various parts of the mansion. Lionel explained that Nicole had already informed her family, and even the staff knew of Skylar’s presence.

Therefore, her tour went smoothly, and she was treated with great respect as she followed Lionel through each room.

Skylar was determined to finish exploring all the rooms quickly so she could head to the lawn where the banquet would be held. She hoped to find Joe there and show him a photograph of

Gloria.

After all, Gloria was incredibly important to him. Seeing the photo or meeting Gloria might spark some memories for Joe.

With this thought in mind, Skylar focused intently as she explored every corner of the mansion, and time seemed to fly by. The situation at Nicole’s home was not overly complicated, but her sharp intuition told her otherwise.

Her youngest son, Ulric Neal, who had always been in good health, had been experiencing frequent nightmares over the past month. He hadn’t been able to sleep well for a whole month. Despite several visits to the hospital, the doctors had found nothing conclusive.
